This is why I love this site, hahaha...Do you guys remember the kid who wrote us a huge story/thread about how his girlfriend was playing etc, and how he was new to GoTitans? Poor guy, didn't last but 5 minutes lol...Roasted! I felt bad for him, and naturally we all gave good advice in the end, but it was an ugly start for him lol! It isn't for the weak up in here. Anyway, I find it funny that every analyst was swinging on Barr as our pick for weeks. Now, suddenly I am seeing a whole lot of QB and Gilbert...

I just watched Bortles tape from the Fiesta bowl and I was seriously underwhelmed. This guy would not be an upgrade from Locker other than maybe staying healthy? Personally I would compare him to Blain Gabbert. Same measurables and similar look on tape…and both guys that rose close to the draft. I would much rather take Jimmy G in the 2nd and go either tackle or Barr in the 1st. Jimmy G's release is the real deal and in Whiz's quick pass offense could be deadly!

I don't endorse Bortles, but do not disrespect the man by comparing him to Gabbert.

He's much better than that and actually has potential. Gabbert never had potential.

Remember, Mayock and most of the other "analysts" thought Gabbert was the consensus #2 QB right behind Newton. They said he looked the part and all this other BS. If I recall, one of the espn guys thought he was the safest QB pick in the draft even over Newton….that was probably Kiper though. The guy sucked on tape and I felt the same when I watched his tape as when I watched Bortles. Now I only watched 1 game on Bortles but it was one poor game against a top tier component (Baylor).

    My QB Rankings

    1. Bridgewater
    2. Carr - growing on me.
    3. Murray
    4. Jimmy G
    5. Bortles
    6. Everybody else

I've come to terms with the fact we might land Bridgewater or Carr tomorrow.

    Bortles would be a bummer.

    We ain't drafting Manziel.

I never once considered Gabbert to be anything, and was very worried we'd be stupid and take him in 2011.

I promise Bortles is much better.

Gabbert is on Tebow's level if not worse. He had a 1.9 Total QBR last season. I could get a 1.9 QBR.

I agree he will be better because honestly he can't be any worse. Didn't mean to accuse you of saying Gabbert was going to be good but my point is the guy screams Bust right along with Manziel. Only QB I would consider at 11 is Bridgewater but really don't want one at all. Rather give Locker another year to try to stay healthy and take a back-up option in rd 2 or trade back for a 3rd rounder. He need to build the rest of the team and if we suck this year go all-in for a qb next year or hope our 2nd rounder pans out.
