I really want Barr. Manziel would really piss me off.

Curious what ya think. Definitely my #1 corner. Dennard may be better than Gilbert too. Just have a feeling Gilbert will be one of those "all the physical tools, never puts it all together guys"

I haven't really looked at CBs like I do most years so I'm just going to have to take you and everyone else's word for it. I do like Gilbert a lot in the sense that we already have J-Mac and BWW, so we can take that luxury pick with Gilbert and bring him along slowly instead of throwing him right in the fire. Let him get down the technique and footwork and he can be a top CB when paired with his already very impressive set of athletic abilities.

Yea Dennard especially is similar to J-Mac so it would make sense to go in another direction.

But as you can see my opinion of Fuller is high. I like Gilbert too, I just have a bad feeling about that technique

that's what people felt about Jason Pierre Paul too and look how he turned out. Gilbert is an elite talent at corner, you cant say no to that

Gilbert is flashy. He's a ballhawk... Might give up big plays and make up for it with big plays of his own.

He has a higher ceiling than any CB in the draft, but that doesn't always mean anything... Roby has a high ceiling too and I bet he will suck.

Dennard and Fuller are definitely safer picks. But I really think Gilbert is gonna transform into a very exciting corner.

If the Patrick Peterson comparisons are even remotely close, we have the coaching staff to decide that. Whiz/Horton were together when the Cards took PP.

Barr or Gilbert, and I would be very happy.

I think in today's game we are seeing a much higher success rates for "raw talents."

I could get behind Gilbert if we don't get a shot at Barr.

Not digging Fuller, I would not be happy with that pick at all at 11

2015 seems like a decent year to be in the market for a QB:
    • Mariota- I'd almost advocate tanking for him. I think he's the next Manning/Brady caliber player.
    • Winston- (I'm a Noles fan) Winston is a good kid. He's definitely not a thug, I just think immaturity and the spotlight on him have caused him to make some mistakes (the crab legs, the free Burger King soda, etc). I've looked extensively into the investigative files from the rape case and I can say with near certainty that the accusation is either false or a grey area kind of situation (despite what Deadspin and Jezebel tell you). What worries me about Winston isn't that he'll be arrested for drugs or involvement with a shooting, but that he'll have a fragile ego after transitioning from superstar in college to a rookie in the NFL ala Vince Young. Football-wise, he has some work to do as well.

That's why I think waiting a year to look for a QB will be a smart move. We can also get closure with Jake Locker. Either he'll perform, in which case we wouldn't have wasted an early pick this year on a QB, or he'll fail or get injured again, which would likely put us in a decent position for the Mariota sweepstakes.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind spending a 3rd (via trade) or 4th rounder on a guy like Aaron Murray, even if we still fully intend to draft a first round QB next year if Locker doesn't work out. QBs are a complete crapshoot these days. Kicking the tires on Murray might be worth it even if he ends up being a career backup for Locker or a 2015 guy.

If we're determined to go QB at 11 this year, I honestly wouldn't mind Manziel. I think he's as big of a risk as you can have at QB but you gotta admit-- it would a fun ride and we'd finally have some relevance/excitement again.

If QBs are out of the picture this year, I want to see us take Barr or Gilbert or trade down and take Dennard in the first. Hyde or Mason in the second.
