If we traded back with Dallas, picked up a 3rd, & took Mosley at #16.. I wouldn't be mad.

I think I'm leaning toward Barr. The idea of trading back and picking up Nix makes sense. Also like the versatile Notre Dame olineman whose name escapes me.

Who is the current face of this franchise? Jason McCourty? Kendall? Both good players but neither looks like a future HoF'er or even an all pro.

If the front office thinks any player remaining on the board when they pick at eleven is an elite talent, they neeeeed to take him... regardless of position (even WR.... yet again). This team needs difference makers. It's pretty scary how little high end talent is currently on the roster. We're doing a franchise mock draft elsewhere on the forum and in doing so I considered which players on the current squad could start for the Oilers of the early nineties. Maybe Wright could sneak in as the fourth WR in the run and shoot but that's pretty much it. That can't be good. Made me consider for the first time that we may in fact be in for a loooooong season. Possibly.

    Talent infusion required!

Many would argue we overpaid in that Hunter trade. However, there is a stark difference in the two scenarios as we gave up our current year 2nd and next year's 3rd to move up to draft Hunter. In this potential scenario Dallas would be giving us their current year 1st and current year 3rd to move up. I don't have a draft chart in front of me but I do know current year's picks are more valuable than a later year's.

I like Mosley a lot, but I would rather us drop back and draft a CB or DL. What we really need from the middle LB spot is a smart, tackling machine. We can get that in the 4/5 round with Avery Williamson. He is 6' 1'' and 250lb while running a 4.59. Over 100 tackles last two years and an All-SEC performer. Mosley is a bit better in coverage and rushing which causes the separation, but we can get that from other LB spots, we need that big # tackle guy, that's Williamson.

Can't Woodyard line up outside as well?

In the 3-4? I think that would be less than ideal. That would be like playing Mosely out there. They're the same kind of player. We need a thumper MLB. A guy like Preston Brown or Shayne Skove.

I can't believe how Shazier is flying up the board....

I really like Shazier. I've been surprised how little hype he has gotten. I have him as a solid 1st rnd talent.

I agree about adding a thumper type of MLBer and that one of them can be had in the later rnds.

I really hope we can trade back and get that 3rd round pick back. If we stay at eleven I hope it is Barr or Gilbert the corner from osu.

We need to add some attitude to this Defense...Give us a pass rusher or a high tier safety or MLB...Then add a big mess of a NT for the 3-4....I want to make teams hate facing the Defense that the Titans put on the field. Locker is getting the nod and will probably end up hurt, so lets solidify this D for now.
