If Whiz likes Carr then I'd be fine with us taking him at 11 but I wouldn't jump to grab him either. Carr has elite arm strength and has run a very similar offense to what Whiz apparently wants to install in Tennessee.

The MWC has better defenses than they get credit for. Yeah it's not the SEC but they're not exactly D2 guys either. We've seen MWC do very well against bigger conferences in bowl games.

With Bridgewater sliding it is Carr that is filling the gap. He will probably be gone in the top 10 of the first round.

I'm hoping if Carr is there at 11, we trade out with Cleveland get the 26th pick and possibly a 2nd and a 3rd. Personally this draft I'd like us to build the D, add some offense and see what Locker can do this year. If he gets hurt or doesn't progress we are better set next year to possibly "just need a QB".

If they like a player so much to give up all that then why not just take him with the 4th pick? Seriously the 26th pick plus a very high 2nd and very high 3rd, essentially an entire draft. Why would they do that?

They would not. Especially a team like the Bowns that have multiple needs and would want to keep all their picks.

Because the Browns pick at #4 (1800 pts) is worth more than the #26, #35, and #71 combined (total of 1485 pts) according to the draft trade value chart. So going off of pure value it would be better for them to take someone else at 4, then trade back up to get Carr.

Although you are right, it is too much to give up to move to #11 (which is worth 1250 pts) ... They should be able to move to #11 with only the 1st and 2nd picks.

I'd love to get Barr at 11 and Carr at 42 but that isn't happening. We traded up last year to get Hunter, so it only makes sense to trade back this year to get our pick back.

it's risky business. If they wanted to trade back to say, pick 23 or so.. there are a lot of teams that could use current or future QBs.

Rams, Bears, Steelers, Jets, Dolphins, Cards could all use QBs of the future. It's a risk to trade back. If they think Carr will be their guy, then he's worth taking at 11, IMO. The trading down thing could backfire in a big way.
