Dude has a laser. An comparably from his mechanics in college, yes he is much better now.

That post makes no sense at all. A lot of great Qbs didn't start on week one of their first year and some didn't start in their first season at all.

Illogical especially because Jake only has one year left in his contract so if our rookie looks good in camp and Jake has a mediocre year the new kid could be starting in 2015.

Do you honestly think that you draft players with only the next season in mind?

You can have your own theory, but I want my 2014 1st round pick to be a starter if we go QB. If not we can grab a QB in a later round.

None of these QBs in this draft are likely to unseat Jake as our starter. That is why I do not want to draft a QB with our first. Give us an impact player that will see the field immediately. Like you said, we can draft a QB in the 2nd or 4th and find real value.

Why couldn't they unseat Jake? Cause Jake is so awesome and durable? There is very little value in the later rounds for QB's looking at the past. Sure sometimes a guy slips through the cracks but that is wishful thinking and banking on it to happen will leave you near the bottom of the league. That being said I do want Aaron Murray but only because his stock is mid rounds due to height and injury not talent he'd be drafted round 1 if he was healthy and 6'3.

Never said they couldn't--I said it is unlikely. Jake was playing very well early in the season last year before his injuries. He also wasn't turning the ball over. His time in the NFL will prove invaluable when competing with a rookie quarterback. Just my opinion, but I believe it holds it's weight. I like Murray as well BTW and it would be awesome to snag him in the 4th. Barr, Hyde, Murray would be a dream draft for me.
