Probably get crucified for this, but McNairs toughness wouldnt have allowed him to play through the injuries Jake has suffered. Mc 9 couldnt have toughed his way through the injury Jake is dealing with now. Mc 's injuries were small and they added up. Broken small bones in a foot, fractured ribs, lacerations, whatever. Jakes injuries have been far more serious than any one injury Mc 9 had to deal with.

well i'll be the first to crucify you for this post. McNair played with more heart than anyone I have ever seen. He took a lot worse hits than Jake and he could play through any injury that jake has had. If Jake ever took a hit that Mac9 took he prob wouldn't even come back to football! The QB's today are more protected league wide than they were when Mac 9 played. Here is the major key difference. McNair had the body to play in the NFL where I think Jake does not have the body and that is something no one can do nothing about.

The point he made though is valid. McNair could not have played through those.

And you need to change your signature.

Knowing McNair though he wouldn't have gotten a liz franc injury. As far as the shoulder injury goes from 2012 McNair would have made the tackle no problem haha.

yes I know I do, just been real busy but I still wish we capped him damnt!

So if you set a franchise back for staying off the field and not producing it's ok?

"like I said im not a supporter of young but he did more for this team than locker has no question. You end all your statements with an insult, try backing it up. Show me what locker has done that puts hin ahead in anyway.

Get over it man! #9 will always be my favourite Titan but it was 10 years ago. Let it go.

McNair was without a doubt tougher than Locker. BUT there is no way he'd be able to play thru the two injuries Locker had last year. Perhaps he never would have sustained them, that's debatable but no-one would know for certain.

For the most part McNair played behind a better OL than Locker has ever had and had a better D most of the time. The success we had then warps opinions I feel.

I read this board constantly but rarely contribute. Being an "outsider" (not in the US), I sometimes feel my opinion is not exactly valid.

But I'll say, Locker is out guy this year. Get behind him and let's get back to the playoffs. Overall, the players we have on offense is potentially as good as we've seen since we moved to Tennessee.

I've got high hopes of another 08 season and sticking it to the whole league.

You really think Locker will take us back to the playoffs? For that he needs to play more than 5 dam games in a row without coming out. Ill root for any player in two toned blue but I do not trust him with his accuracy as well as his health and you can't blame for that. We will make it back to the playoffs one day but it will be another guy under center.

You have to agree he looked good at the start last year? We should have been 4-0 to start if it wasn't for the Houston game.

He's never gonna be a Rodgers or Brees or Manning. It's rare you're gonna get that. It will never be the type of offense we will run anyway. McNair never had that type of offense.

For me, he's a decent passer who can create something out of nothing and can control the game. He was turnover free thru those early games last year. That's what we need over someone like Manziel coming in and chucking it everywhere. Yeah, it would be entertaining but we'd lose.

We have to give him the chance. This is his final one to stay healthy.
