Webster was GM under Reinfeldt. They promoted him because they were afraid Fisher would raid him for the Rams. Reinfeldt was running the show though and Bud fired him because he felt Mike was not aggressive enough in pursuing Peyton.

Yeah buy paying Mario Williams 100 million dollars

Go after Peyton was the best thing franchise did in the last 5 years (this offseason not included).

Not impressed with this one but it does take the heat off getting a OT early in the draft.

"Oher allowed a team-high eight sacks and 42 quarterback hurries this season, according to Pro Football Focus. He had just five penalties this season but is the most frequently penalized player in the NFL since entering the league. He was the last-ranked tackle in the league in run blocking last season, according to Pro Football Focus."

Sure put words in my mouth. Please point to where I even hinted at us going after Mario Williams. We missed out on possible difference makers in FA that year because we were out chasing fool's gold. The front office stated this explicitly. If that's what you consider the best thing this franchise has done then idk what to tell you man. Maybe we should waste time going after dudes who don't to be here every season, then we can repeat the success of almost getting Peyton  .

I like his potential. he's still young. He's big and strong and has played well at times in the past. Our coaching staff has some work to do with him to minimize his mistakes, but he could wind up being a very solid player for us imo. If he does play terribly, I'm not that upset at the thought of Stingily starting either. Either way, were better off at RT than we were 2 days ago. Only time will tell whether he was worth it. I like the move myself. I didn't want the Titans to go O-Line is the 1st round of two consecutive drafts.

Maybe him being only a couple hundred miles from home now could make a difference. I guess we will see.

For the price he is ok. He reminds me of Fred miller. Should be serviceable at the least and has shown flashes of potential.

That's what the front office SAID they were going to do, soooo sorry if I base my response on their reality.

Oh gawd this franchise so dumb for trying to land a HoF and one of the greatest of all time QBs.

You people will ***** about anything and never be happy.

    Hi folks,

I write a regular O_Line analysis column for Ravens Fans and thought you folks might want to look at the 2013 results for Oher.

    http://russellstreetreport.com/filmstudy-2013-offensive-line-analysis/

There is more on Oher game-to-game and in past seasons in my archive which you can find from that site. The individual game pieces will have more detail on pulls, pancakes, and level-2 blocks where notable.

A few things you might not know:
    • When working with Matt Birk, he was effective getting jump on the snap that is visible to the naked eye and amounted to a .1 to .3 second snap advantage over other linemen. I treated it as hypothetical here when I first noticed it, but in 3 seasons since, there isn't any doubt:

    • He has been the NFLs 2nd most penalized player since joining the NFL in 2009 (Doug Free is #1).
