I think people are forgetting the life span of the RB position. Hes 27. 30 is old for that position. Not like he has 6 years left in the league as a feature back. I dont hate CJ and think he could be used much more effectively, but he isnt gonna be gettin 25 carries a game over the last stretch of his career. Long shot to hit the numbers and even if he does, cant see him in serious consideration for HOF.

Really? Look at CJ's numbers over the first 6 years of his career. Only guys who can match his numbers are..........

    a. Hall of famers.

    or

    b. Adrian Peterson.

    Really. Check for yourself.

His first 6 years have nothing to do with what I am saying. He has taken a remarkable beating for a back his size as it is. Not nearly as elusive as he was given credit for. I believe that to be one reason for his decline over the past couple of years. My opinion has nothing to do with statistical fact. I just dont believe he can withstand the long term beating, and if he cant, its not a knock. The guy weighs 190 and has been run between the tackles for 6 years as if he weighs 230. How long can he hold up if he isnt used in a less punishing manner?

Okay. I was simply showing that in the past, any RB that has done what he's done (or close to it), has made the hall of fame. That's all.

exactly why he goes down easy alot of times behind the line of scrimmage. imo. why get killed for one more yard? QB's do it in order to take less hits and keep themselves healthy. the colts WR thats been around forever will do it. sometimes i think he does it prematurely and other times i think good call.

If that were the case, then there would be a slew of gay jokes taking over for 3-4 pages.

CJ definitely has a chance but he will not be able to coast into the HOF. He has broken quite a few records, some that we may never see broken again. All he has to do is finish somewhat strong and hes in.

However if we release him and he loses his #1 role and joins a pure RBC, I dont think he will be a shoe in.

Right now its too far up in the air and no one knows.
