I'm just curious to see what yall think. Please leave cj out of this we have enough on this forum about him and how people feel. So non cj cuts that should happen.

    Stewart and Wimbley for sure.

Everyone says Fitzpatrick, but $2.75mil for a backup QB is to be expected. I say keep him... unless we have a better backup plan.

Fitz is bad, its like having Collins all over again. I feel sick when I know Fitz will be playing

Name a realistic backup better and cheaper than Fitz...

There aren't many out there... I guess I see why you made the drafting 2 QBs thread now.

    Or you are hoping for:
    1. Locker/rookie
    2. Locker/rookie
    3. Tyler Wilson.

From a money saving standpoint: Griffin, Wimbley, Stewart, Fokou, Fitzpatrick, Greene, Washington and Stevens

Who I think we actually cut: Stewart and Wimbley

Players I think should be seriously looked at

greene ( easy to find his production)
fitz (not even a good backup)
stewart (backup tackle getting starter money)
stevens ( only a blocker and saves us 2.4 mil)
washington (most reliable wr over the past couple years, but wright and hunter could easily take his spot, considering he's aging and saves us 4.8 mil)
wimbley (unless this staff thinks they can use him right, he's useless)

How much we save for cuting each player
    Stewart- 6.4 million
    Wimbley- 2.4 million
    Craig Stevens 2.4 million
    Fitzpatrick- 3.2 million
    Fokou- 1.4 million
    Patrick Bailey- 1.2 Million

These are all pretty cut and dry. They should not be on the team next year and it saves us a combined 17 million. Plus the 9 we already have and 3 left over from last year gives us a grand total of 29 million in cap space. That is a lot and plenty to sign multiple guys including Pollard and Verner who should take up a combines 11-13 a year.

    Possible cuts
    Washington 4.8 million
    Roos 6.6 million
    Griffin 2.6 million
    Wilson 2.5 million

I think Jake is a cheaper backup. As much as I love him and want him to be our guy I am ready to move on. QB is too important to depend on Jake being the guy. We need to get a starting QB via FA, trade or draft.

    Stewart
    Wimbley
    Stephens
    Fokou
    Bailey

potentially Wilson, depending on what the plan is on defense and if Pollard comes back or not.
