Are these numbers less gimmicky for you? One is Gabbert and one is Ponder. You can have 10 of those scrubs i'll take my chances with Manziel.

If that is the only similarity between them you can come up with it doesn't warrant an insult to his skills. Almost all college qbs play "reckless" and I understand that that's why most don't make it in the pros. But, manziel throws the ball a h*** of a lot better, is smarter and is more athletic than those two and even wilson and kap ( at this point in the latter twos careers)

I like Fales late. Next year will suck again (Winston, Mariota, Petty), but 2016 will be great for QB (Hackenberg, Browne).

Your willing to gamble on a qb two years from now and potentially flop with that pick, rather than take a guy this year high?? That makes no sense what so ever, with this philosophy we would be worse than the browns. Not to mention we would have to be horrible the next two years in order to even have a chance at one of these guys

people always say that, then comes next year and we're back to saying "next years class"

    there's 4 QB's I personally like, maybe a 5th will show up

All I'm getting out of this thread is that Manziel is athletic and put up dominant stats in college but because he's shorter than the average QB and can run he'll never succeed in the NFL..

And being short and cocky are gonna be the only two negatives we will hear on the topic.

To me its not that he is shorter than the average QBs. To me, I dont see a guy who can work the pocket. I visualize him in a Titans uniform, scramble right, circle around change direction and gets introduced to Robert Mathis, right up under his chin. He doesnt make great decisions and many times has been bailed out. I am not of the thought that he is Vince Young. They are night and day as far as their playing styles. Vince never seemed so frantic. I think the thing that scares me about Manziel is that he seems so frantic in his play and there really is no comparison that fits him. Russel Wilson? Seen him perform some of that, but always looks under control. I am not closed off the possibility of Manziel being a good pro. Would I personally draft him top 20? Not on your life. Thats because I cant identify a system that stands out as one that he would stand out in, because he doesnt stay within a system. I think thats about as reasonable as I can be without sounding like a hater. I loved watching him play, but at the next level, he has to fit somewhere and I cant put my finger on a good NFL system for him

That's because you have a reading comprehension problem. Five people have been saying the same thing to you but you just don't get it.

No one has been successful running the J. Football offense in the history of pro football. If you want to gamble of Manziel being the first, then by all means, go for it.
