Would you really rather have MJD than CJ...?

Man based on the reactions in this thread I'd love to CJ go to a good team and tear **** up. I don't think he's worth the money to stay on the Titans but you guys are mad an NFL player got paid and didn't play like AP on an awful team? We should start putting blame where it really belongs, in Locker, our WRs and our coaching. The lets run CJ up the gut 15 times a game sure was a great strategy year in and year out.

We save 20MILLION over the next two years if we cut him this year.

You are ****ing retarded if you think he deserves to stick around.

I know most probably think of me as a CJ homer and that's fine with me but if anyone took the time to look at my posts I'm very consistent with my treatment of players. I don't just pick and choose what standards to apply on whether I like them or not. I also think it's important that whether you like a guy or not you still show them some measure of respect when speaking about them, not because they're so amazing that we gotta kiss their ass but more because it says more about the person doing the talking. None of us know these guys personally and we tend to forget that myself included.

The only player I really remember really pounding the table to get benched was Rob Turner and that was purely performance based, for all I know he's a great guy. With Britt, I'll admit I was in denial but it was because I didn't think it was remotely possible that ANY NFL receiver could ever play as badly as Kenny did. His play was absolutely indefensible. I don't agree that he wasn't trying out there but good god for his sake I hope he wasn't because if that's his best when he gives his all that is really sad at this point in his career.

Strange that he played all year with a torn MCL. That couldn't have been easy. I love CJ but am ready to part ways after hearing some things from a friend of mine. My buddy is a bartender downtown and knows a bunch of other bartenders that work on 2nd ave who ALL have CJ stories. He apparently parties his ass off on Friday and Saturday nights during the season. He closes down clubs on Saturday night before home games. That just pisses me off! My buddy has also heard rumors from others close to the Titans organization who say that CJ and Britt locker room cancers. They are the last of the Fischer regime, so I am all for cutting that cancer out of the Titans organization.

We spent over 100 million dollars last off season with CJ having the exact same contract. 10 of those 100 million were spent on another running back who missed some of our most crucial games due to injury and while healthy did not come close to out producing CJ. How exactly did CJ impair our ability to spend money and acquire the guys we wanted?

If your first defense is to compare him to another running back to justify his production, you are doing it wrong.

Limping to 1000 last 2 years?

Perhaps you forgot he had 4.5 ypc in 2012 and 1250 yards rushing, with another 230 receiving. There were 8 backs with more yardage, but Spiller had 1 more yard and Ridley had about 20.

I don't think we should keep him forever, although I do think he will be harder to replace than most think. I don't see why we still can't draft a RB, because Greene isn't nearly as good as people want to believe. Let them compete for yards, it comes down to the coach needing to put the best on the field. I don't see a huge need for 4 mil this year myself.
