yeah exactly. matthews has been inept as an OL coach everywhere he's been. didn't the texans OL IMMEDIATELY improve the year after he left? the LBs were coached by a high school coach. i'll reserve my opinion for them also to next year.

Yea the texans o-line definitely did improve significantly with his departure. It's still baffling to me and I'm sure many more, how we can always have a solid o-line with munch being the o-line coach, then go to **** when he's the HC... Just doesn't make sense. The whole he's the first in last out crap we were fed sounds like a pile of bs now.

It did get something right IMO on defense. From the chart you can see the DL did really well, which guys, I really think they did. Casey, Hill, Mookie, Klug, Martin, Morgan, RP, and so on did a REALLY good job tying down blockers. Our run D was bad b/c of our LBs did not 'crash' the line on run plays like they should have.

BUT there is NO WAY Ayers is positive, he was horrible last year @ both LB and DE. Brown was the best of the crop even though he got demoted. C-Mac made some splash plays, but I noticed more miss tackles and him getting EATEN by OL more than anything else. Fokou didn't do well either.
