Did you miss his breakout year this year? Its only the tip of the iceberg for this kid. How many kids came out as one year wonders in college and had success. Not to mention they were drafted in the first round. Could end up being just as good as Robert Quinn.

first time I saw this thread so I am a little late getting to this and I apologize if someone mentioned this earlier....... what good does it do drafting a wr @ 11 when we need someone to get him the ball!!! I think it is obvious we need to draft a QB at this point plus our wr core is already quite talented compared to other positions on this team!

Why does everyone want an OT first so damn bad?

We drafted a linemen first last year and it proved they're just as inconsistent.

Get one later. Get a QB or DE guy whose going to change this team early.

I personally think we need to go ELITE QB or ELITE DE in the first. A quality right tackle, which is actually our second biggest need can be had in the second (think Antonio RIchardson) . That being said the prospect of pairing Sammy Watkins/Mike Evans/Travis Benjamin/Marquise Lee with our already young, dynamic corps of receivers might be too much to pass up for me if the the QBs like Bortles/Carr or DE's like Mack/Clowney are gone at 11. Our next biggest need is MLB and it would most likely be CJ Mosely who would be a quality pick but I just don't see him or any MLB having as big an impact on the game as one of the afore mentioned receivers. BPA all day.

Stewart is done. He was holding a lot earlier in the season, but got so slow that he couldn't even hold someone at the end. I'm not saying it has to be a first rounder, but the team badly needs someone.

Because Stewart is as good as gone. That means we need a Day 1 starter at RT. The following year, Roos is a free agent, and likely we will go in another direction. That means that RT will likely switch to LT. It's not so easy finding an OT in the 4th round to start day 1, although CHI and DET did it this year.

So can't we find one in FA? We invested pretty heavy in the interior line last year.

I just think finally drafting a new impact qb, LB, or DE could change this team more.

    Who knows.

QB is nothing if he doesn't have protection. Especially a rookie QB.

The best OT free agents are: Eric Winston, Michael Oher, Brandon Albert, Tyson Clabo, Zack Strief, David Diehl, Austin Howard, Jared Veldheer, & Rodger Saffold.

The thing about free agent OTs (especially LTs) is they get paid. Do we really want to fork out fat cash for a tackle after we just paid LeVitre, or would you rather spend that $$ elsewhere?

I do not want an OT 1st round, but I can see the appeal. I'd prefer to pickup one in the 2nd (if we go QB in Round 1). If we do defense round 1, i'm looking at a QB round 2 then. Follow up with an offensive tackle round 4. We would then need to sign a vet, who's capable of starting, and that OT battles for a job. Like what the Saints/DET did with Armstead & Waddle. Both later round picks that became starters as the year went on.

3 1st round WR's? Are you Matt Millen???? REALLY???

Let's see, we don't have a starting RT, are thinking of cutting our starting RB, are lacking a dominant pass rusher, might need a giant NT if we are moving to a 3-4, could use an upgrade at MLB/ILB, very well may lose our Pro Bowl CB, could use a serious upgrade at FS, and lost our starting SS. Did I mention our LB's underperformed last season? A WR is one of the few things we should NOT invest a first round pick on when we have sooooo many other places to use it on.

Oh, and that's assuming you think Locker can stay healthy and we don't need a QB!

As X pointed out, I don't wanna draft a RT in round 1, but I'd draft our eventual LT in round 1 and start him at RT this season. Or fork over money for Brandon Albert or the like.

I think we need to pay big for either an OL player or a dominant pass rusher. I prefer the pass rusher...harder to find.
