Webster didn't feel like standing behind the podium.

For those who can't see/hear it...

Webster and Whisenhunt hit it off.

    Not evaluated Locker yet.

Learned from past experience and will apply that now.

    Want to be versatile offensively.

    Didn't commit to either a 3-4 or 4-3.

Webster and Whisenhunt have a lot of friends in the league in common.

Plans on talking to current staff but also looking to get permission to talk to others.

Back on the future QB: trusting Webster a lot on determining Locker's future along with film review.

Not studied CJ but will. Knows the defense better since he was the OC.

On getting a more explosive offense: based on personnel, finding mismatches, situation, etc. Often not planned but just happens.

Plans on putting in a core offense but will be open to incorporating ideas from coaches.

Will have input on defense despite being an offensive-minded guy.

Good with QBs because he tries to put them in position to win. Lucky to have worked with those he has.

Asked about Locker being injury-prone. Said some of it is bad luck. Some of it is just playing too tough which puts the body at risk. Will evaluate Locker.

Whisenhunt wants old days of fan passion to return and feels it will.

Taking a QB in the first round? Anything possible. Want best player available.

Important to adapt offense to utilize skills of talent on roster.

Mr. Smith said Whisenhunt is intelligent. Likes that he'll call the offensive plays.

Smith had only talked to Whisenhunt on the phone before he was hired. Has faith in Webster.

A lot of the bad seasons at AZ were due to players being young and injured. Always worked hard.

Felt comfortable about Webster, Mr. Smith and enjoyed Nashville. Family likes it here.

    No timeframe to hire assistants.

Discussed the type of player with Webster and felt he could reach a consensus on that.

Webster wanted to make sure he saw eye-to-eye with new HC with football philosophy.

KW: Creating right environment is important. Atmosphere of competition. Right kind of players (smart and tough).

Webster talks to TS daily about improving. Wants to change culture of franchise—everyone pulling towards the same goal. Maybe lacked that culture at points in the past.

Whisenhunt wants the fan enthusiasm to return. Feels changes will lead to that happening.

Sounds like the Titans will run a 3-4/4-3 hybrid defense
