That's my fear. The longer this drags out the new coach will be limited as to who he fills on his staff. UNLESS Webster and Quinn have already spoken on the sneaks and have guys in mind to complete Quinn's staff that no one will even target.

I think that if Quinn is to get the job then he'll hire up and comers like himself to fill the staff rather than proven guys like Wade Phillips/Norv Turner/Gary Kubiak.

Do you really think Beval would make a lateral move to Tennessee from Seattle? C'mon man.

I'm against Quinn... In large part due to his past with Webster. It feels like a "this is my boy" type of hire... NOT GOOD.

I would really like a GM who goes against the grain and would hire someone who would have opposite opinions as he would have.. This way we are ensured to overall have the best team possible.

Makes me think Quinn is a bonified punk... And Webster knows he will get no flack from him.

Bingo was his name-o! Totally agree. Based solely on performance, Zimmer has the best resume of all of the people that have been interviewed and deserves the job. I'm starting to get the feeling that none of the guys we have interviewed are even seriously being considered for the job. Sounds more like the job is Quinn's if he wants it and Webster will wait on him which is a chickensh!+ safe hire because they have a history. I hope that's not the case.

That all depends on the details right? Successful people tend to keep other successful people around them. I think we all agree we trust Webster. If Webster thinks Quinn is a great man for the job regardless of his connection then I would have faith.

Even if he's Webster's guy, if he is anything like Webster (talent/work ethic wise) this would be a solid pick.

Your issue comes up with people like Fisher. He was mediocre and thus surrounded himself with his guys who were also mediocre. I'm not saying this is ALWAYS the case, but I feel like I can see this through an optimistic lens.

And it's going to be who Webster wants. The way it is. Nobody has been hired yet, so all hold your horses until one is hired .

Yea if Mularkey is locked in as Quinn's OC let's admit one thing: he isn't a leftover ala Chris Palmer. Maybe that's why we aren't worried.
