Nobody that has never been a HC would demand that. Few guys get that control.

 

Idk about the source. But I have seen that Zimmer likes it in cincy. I guess he bought land in Kentucky and waiting to build a house on it. His daughter recently moved up to Cincy, and he has a son on the staff (not 100%) on that one. So I can see him asking for a lot before choosing a HC position.

 

If so, this direct quote from Zimmer wouldn't make any sense.

Yes, Adam Zimmer is an assistant coach for the Bengals. Mike's daughter just moved to the area. Mike lost his wife a few years ago, and having his family around is important to him. He did just buy 43 acres of land in Northern KY. He is probably heir apparent in Cincy if he waits out Marvin Lewis.

Just looked up that ESPN Cincinnati account. It's clearly not affiliated with ESPN. Calling clear BS on that one.
