X's and O's can be had with good coordinators. Bisaccia has been an assistant headcoach since 2008 I believe, which is as close as it gets without being the real deal. That said, personality traits are super important for a HC and you can't judge that from stats and job history.

 

How many SB winning coaches have gone on to coach another team afterwards? In recent history I can only think of Holmgren and Shannahan.

 

Dick Vermeil, Dan Reeves.

I'd almost count Joe Gibbs since he had about a century between coaching gigs at Washington.

 

I forgot about Vermeil, but I don't think Reeves ever won the SB... and Joe Gibbs is ancient history, not recent

 

Gibbs coached them from 2003 - 07 or something like that.

Wow, I really thought Reeves won a Superbowl as a coach. Dude was 0 - 4 in Superbowls.

 

I know but he was past his expiry date. His SB win was back in the 80s or something.

 

John Madden isn't doing anything know adays

 

If Bisaccia is as good at developing young players as he seems to be, then I don't think he can be overlooked. As for the difference between him and Munchak, Bisaccia has actualy coached across the board. You have to assume he is well rounded and has a clue scheme wise.

You don't get that on the O line for 20 years.

Maybe little Shannahan or someone. I don't know. There in lies the problem, we would need a good play caller here.

Ideally, we get an offensive minded coach, because I think it is easier right now to get a good DC for us.

OC: who cares because we have Gruden.

 

Why are you so attached to a guy who mediocre and undersized when compared to the rest of the league?
