Ive given up hope on the ryans, neither are NFL caliber head coaches.

Norv and Turner have only been good with exceptional talent. Not so good with younger guys. Mainly don't like the head coach, I could be okay with Norv at OC, but he'd be outside my top 3. I think he wants a HC spot though.

I have to admit, I think Munch is a great guy but I really hope this is a sign of bigger things to come. This whole build the team around Chris Johnson experiment hasn't worked. It's time to clean house. Bye Locker, Bye Britt, Bye Washington, Bye CJ So tired of hearing those names. I'm sure they will go some where and light it up but we need fresh clean slate both as a fan base and as a roster. It would be nice to get a new coach with a QB who he can say is his own. We've had two top 10 QB busts since 2005. That's pretty unlucky. I think Locker is talented, I just don't think he is going to be able to stay on the field. What's really sad is, he leaves Tennessee, does anyone else see him getting a starting job somewhere else?

Actually, Rob Ryan as head coach is interesting. Something outside the box. He can coach a defense, question is whether he can be the head man in charge.

Nobody is going to hire a head coach who looks like a homeless guy. Rob Ryan needs to learn how to market himself better. That game last night was his first playoff game as a DC. His entire career has been coaching mediocre defenses for crappy teams.

It is interesting how the media looks at offensive minded coaches as if they are smarter. Marc Trestman's 8-8 season was genius while a 10-6 season got Lovie Smith fired from that same job. But Trestman is an offensive minded guy and wears glasses and looks like a college professor so he must be a genius coach.

Good point on the last part. Exception may be offensive minded guy that specializes in OL? In other words, Munchak.

Not knocking Rob Ryan i do think he is a good defensive coordinator and while his defenses in Dallas were not outstanding they were better than what they had this year.

His defense is a hybrid 3-4 that doesn't have to have ideal 3-4 type players and neither of his OLBs were name players. Junior Gallette an undrafted unknown had 12 sacks for them.

To take that personnel and finish 4th in scoring defense was a great accomplishment and i have no doubt he could succeed with the players we have.

Another combination I wouldn't mind is Whisenhunt as HC and Wade Phillips as DC.
