(Not sure why, but I assume Tommy Smith sounds like George Costanza's boss, Steinbrenner, from Seinfeld)

Tommy: "Munchak, coaching a FB team is like making a really good hamburger. 1st you got to ground it and pound it to make the defense really tender. Then you got to cook the burger nice and slow to lull the D to sleep ... Then when they least suspect it BOOM throw some BBQ sauce on it ... "

... by the end of the convo Tommy will just be in the middle of a hamburger fantasy while Munch and Webster are just looking at each other confused.

John Clayton just reported that the meeting is still in progress but it looks like Munchak will stay. The reasoning is the Titans head coaching job is not attractive to top candidates and if they can't get a top choice, then they will stick with Munchak.

 

Just heard that and 5 minutes ago Mortenson said looking like he is gone. Clayton comments about the candidates did not make sense. Only teams that have hired are houston and tampa. I can come up with at least a dozen guys better than munch without trying to hard. Do It Tommie do it now please!

 

Not sure why this job wouldn't be attractive ... we have pretty decent talent. It wouldn't take much to turn it around.

 

I hope this is wrong man...I think they are a decent young team with good fans and could be good. I could care less if the so called "top candidates" aren't available. Pretty much anyone with good football knowledge will do as well...Ridiculous.

 

This anticipation is killing me. Just fire the guy already.
