Brees and rogers have over 120 million dollar deals. Manning has never played for 3.6 million, manning last I saw was 18 to 20 million this year

 

Not to say CJ is not grossly over paid he is but those three make way more than that.

 

120 million dollar deals compared to CJ's 53.9 million. But that doesn't really matter right. What matters is the amount guaranteed. Anybody who's played a year or two in madden franchise mode can tell you that.

Point is CJ is guaranteed almost the same amount as these guys and much more than Peyton Manning at 3.6 mil per year. You can see those numbers here:

CJ doesn't fit the ground and pound formula this team is going for. We need a back to consistently get 3-4 tough yards on 1st down. CJ is great and I love watching him break one, but I will take moving the chains and marching down the field all day over his 50+ yard TD runs. It gives us a spark, but puts the defense right back out on the field. When it is our only offense, it really puts this team at a disadvantage.

I've been saying this for years and years and years. Even early on in his career when he was having all of that success he still didn't really fit the style of football we were trying to play. He was just such a physical freak and our OL was so dominant that it didn't matter.

he was productive and did NOT make negative plays. But yeah he was zero threat too get beyond the LBs and do damage
