Because shonn Greene impressed you this year? He did nothing and yes I am at every game and watch most twice. Yes, he goes down when he doesn't see anything, but you can also tell a players hustle by the things he does without the ball. Watch him pass block or on the sideline. Always engaged or trying. He needs to run harder, yes, but he has not completely folded it in. If we keep him, I'm sure the whole u need to harder convo will be talked about and agreed upon. Do all really think if we keep him, the organization will let that slide? No, if we keep him it will be with the conclusion that he will work and run harder. Whether he does or not, we won't know. To me, worth the Gamble.

Pass block? Walking infront of another man is not worth $10M a year

suggesting we shouldn't cut CJ because we may not find a decent player in the draft to replace him is a very ***** move. the kind of move that keeps us in a perpetual .500 tailspin.

Right now, the only way you're justified paying CJ $8 million a year is if he has a good offensive line and the OC knows how to use him. Put him in a system like you have in Philly and I think he'd tear it up. No sense in paying a running back $8 million - or even $4 million - if the opposing D-Line gets constant penetration and he's misused in the running and passing games. That's like paying a receiver $10 million when his QB is Matt Cassell. Just doesn't make much sense.

Regardless, the days of needing to pay a running back a huge salary are over. There's plenty of good ones out there, whether by free agency or through the draft (starting in round 2).

When informed fans, former Titan players, and paid NFL writers question Chris Johnson's effort, yea I'd say it's a real thing.

Like some of you have said, it depends on if he restructures (and I like CJ). He has not done enough to warrant his contract. Regardless of what he says or thinks, he will take a pay cut next season... whether it be from the Titans or from whatever team he signs with. Yeah I do want CJ back but with a reduced salary (maybe something incentive based) and with a playbook that knows how to use him. You cant keep running him "up the gut" over and over. Teams "sell out" to get to the ball whenever CJ touches it, defensive coaches know he doesn't like to get hit, so when they hit him guys bring it. Our play-action plays should be deadly...but (QB?, OL?, OC?, CJ?). Does he give 100% every time, probably not, but think about it, if you were just 200lbs-210lbs would you want keep running into a wall time and time again. Give him a 1 year deal and change the way we use him...if its still the "last 3 years" CJ, give him the boot. Now if he must be let go this off-season, at least try to get something for him. The Browns(even though they are in the AFC) have extra picks and plenty of cash....maybe we can get a 3rd or 4th from them for CJ. I know, wishful thinking.
