Since Jake is out for the season and has not really impressed during the few games he has played so far - Is it time to move on?
If Munchak is fired after this season, I believe Locker is gone too. Even if Munchak is retained as HC, I do not believe Jake will be on our roster next season.

I am going with yes because I do think we bring in a new HC and when a new HC comes in they like to bring in their own qb. I have seen enough from Locker to think he will never be a franchise qb. I would consider him at best a stop gap qb.

I think we might exercise the option in his contract, because it makes sense from a price stand point. He will be much cheaper than Fitzpatrick, not to mention more talented.

The only way we do not see a new QB next year, is if Munch is around, and I do not see that happening.

Locker would be a good backup QB in this league but not a starter due to injury history.

I agree with this, durability in this league is key to success. Locker has had absolutely none of it. The shoulder last year was his problem as he tried to make a tackle, I think he needs to understand that situation and not make the tackle being the qb of the team. The hit in the jets game was not his fault and then this with his foot. Banged up in 3 different places and what will it be next year? if he is even here next year

i'm not sure if Jake would accept the 'back-up' role at this point. but i know if we brought in a qb during the draft for competition and he lost, i think he'd take it in stride.

in fact, i really feel that would be the best case scenario. another season or 2 on the side might really help him actually. in the end, he's not even started 20 games (i think), so he could still develop into something special. but yeah, he's got to stay healthy and be smarter...

At best I think he has QB competition, at worst, Munch is fired and the new coach, assuming it isn't an internal hire (god forbid) they'll probably want their own guy.

agree with that and I really hope too that we hire from the outside of this organization.
