The NFL has rescinded a $21,000 fine to running back Jackie Battle for delivering a blow with the crown of his helmet in the second week of the season.

Battle had been fined for lowering his head and hitting Texans defensive back Danieal Manning, though no penalty was called on the play.

But after Battle appealed, the league ruled that Battle wasn’t clearly outside the tackle box when he hit Manning. Running backs are allowed to hit defenders with the crown of the helmet while inside the tackle box.

“I was pleasantly surprised,” Battle said of the successful appeal. “That’s good news.”

They rescinded the fine after they found out it wasn't "Peyton" Manning.

Manning should have been called for tripping...look after he gets trucked. He knew what he was doing.
