If you look around the league, many free agent signings (no matter how promising they are) just don't work out. Haynesworth? Mario Williams? And these are BIG time signings. Life is like a box of chocolates...

FYI, the Chiefs announced a few minutes ago that TE Kelce (who only played part of the first game and hasn't been a factor all season) and OT Fisher (who went out last week with a concussion) are out this week. While Donald Stephenson is a better OT than Fisher (especially in the run game), he's not a world beater and KC will have less depth if he were to go down.

KC confirmed Charles will play this week and they'll get their #1 CB back with Brandon Flowers returning to the roster.

Mario would get talk of DPOY if he played outside of Buffalo.

Free agents are hit and miss. Some FA's do work out, Manning, Welker, and Boldin. The trick is to find the best FA not just with the best talent but the best that fits your system and scheme plan. Welker fits denver perfectly for the offense that manning runs. Boldin does the same for san fran.
