If there was ever the week to get the run game going this is the perfect time.K.C. has the 25th ranked run defense in the league this year.We defintely don't need to be slinging passes this week because K.C. has the second best pass defense in the entire league.K.C. has one of the best secondaries in the game today so Fitzpatrick definitely needs to stick with the run and avoid passing it too much as we don't want any turnovers.

Chris Johnson has had some success in the past against K.C. and in his first game in 2008 he rushed for 170 yards and had a 66 yard run then in 2010 he ran the ball 14 times for 58 yards. We definitely need to feed C.J. and Jackie Battle the ball and play good defense and try to create some turnovers. This would've been a good game to have Shonn Greene return but he is still no quit ready yet.

We don't have Locker unfortunately so we will have to depend on Fitzpatrick. One thing Fitz needs to realize is we haven't had any turnovers and don't want any so he just needs to be patient and not force anything. He needs to depend on the running game and let the defense do the rest.We already know K.C. is very talented in the secondary so they are good against the pass.

I think if we run the ball successfully and play good defense we can win this game.

Too bad Greene is still out. I really think him and cj together would dominate

I just want fitz to play smart, but not over think the turnover thing ... it WILL happen eventually and when it does, the team/player shouldn't freak out ... that may lead to more turnovers

It's not as weak as we think.. They got dominated on the ground in ONE game and that really slanted the numbers; they've held their other 3 opponents on the ground in check. I have a bad feeling we won't run the ball well.

Same here.In the first game at Pittsburgh we were running C.J.,Greene and Battle and they all looked really good. When Greene comes back they will start playing all three backs again.Once he does get back i think our running game will pick up.

If that is the case i do hope we get something going on offense Sunday.Locker will really be missed but i hope Fitz will at least try and keep us looking good until our franchise QB returns.

I think Vick skewed those stats a bit.

I think that garbage Jacksonville team they saw in week 1 skewed the stats too. So it goes both ways.

That said, it would be a very bad idea to underestimate any aspect of that defense. I know Munch & Co. won't be.

You obviously count all the yards from all the plays but it wasn't the Philly game -- it was three plays in particular during that game that account for 31% of all the rushing yards the Chiefs have surrendered all year. Outside of those three plays KC would be ranked #7 in rush defense, surrendering approximately 3.8 ypc (which would rank 10th in defensive ypc).

Now, that said, KC runs a high risk/high reward defense that WILL surrender long plays. These have come almost exclusively through the air but we did have a hard time containing Vick. Not sure how mobile Fitz is now, but those QBs like Romo and Manning that are statues in the pocket got devoured.

Fitz is no Locker. But he's got some okay wheels (for a QB). Certainly no statue.

I've got a lot of respect for your team, particularly that defense . That said, for some reason I have a good feeling about this game (which isn't typically the case with me). I think we match up well and at least we've got homefield going for us.

I also think we're far and away the most physical team you guys have faced so far this season. It's going to be fun to watch. And regardless of the outcome, I don't see either team running away with this one.
