The playcalling has 100% sucked these past couple of years but the majority of our defensive starters have been and still are completely average players.

Well we went out and spent money on Sammie Lee Hill to help stop the run so hopefully he is worth what we spent. We also brought in Robert Pitoitua to help out with the run defense as well. Then we have George Wilson and Bernard Pollard holding things down at the safety spot.

I just hope that with all the money spent in free agency on the defense that we see some changes. Also we drafted Blidi Wreh-Wilson,Zaviar Gooden and LaVar Edwards.

Last year we drafted Mike Martin,Zach Brown,Coty Sensabaugh then we had Kamerion Wimbley brought in free agency.

I agree with everyone else here.. As long as the D gets more aggressive during the season, we'll see improvements. Gray's schemes have to take the majority of the blame for the bad D play, not the talent itself.

It's either that or we overrate our own players such as Morgan, Casey, Ayers, Brown etc.. And I don't think that's the case though; it has to be the play calling and schemes.

It has to be the play calling and schemes.Thats what i'm thinking as well. With Gregg Williams having a hand in coaching the defense i think Casey,Morgan,Ayers,Brown, etc. and most of the players we've brought in should do much better. With Gregg Williams helping out with the defense i think the playcalling and schemes should improve.

IMO, showing what you got before you have to is totally counter productive.

Every year we all can obviously see the personnel changes that need to be made, and they never get addressed. Until this year. Webster and Williams will take us to the promised land.

The problem is, we went out and got his who can stop the run, but not the pass. Pollard, hill, pituitary. You need players who can do BOTH, or the offense pretty much can just pick you apart.

Yes, but there is a balance. Not practicing what you want to do until it matters is stupid too, especially as inexperienced as this team is.

If we get to the QB our DB play will look much improved. I think we can do that with the guys we currently have. Morgan, Casey, Brown, Ayers, Klug, and Wimbley can all get to the QB. Hill might get some bat downs this season. I think we do ok as long as we don't lose Casey or Morgan for a long period. I'm expecting big years from both those guys.

I think we're going to be good on offense. I think we'll go back to running the ball and slowly ease Locker into the season. If we get a good push like we have these past 2 games from our front 4, we'll have a good year.

    Winning cures everything.

Munch knows they must win now.

The offense will get rollin, and the defense will improve as the year goes on.

Bend but don't break...we will win enough games to get in the playoffs. imo
