I wish we would just run a system similar to the Eagles.

We have a similar group of players and I think that fast paced, mobile offense would help Jake

I look for it to be much more like dinger and that is what we have the personel to do. If we wanted a pass first offense and palmer we should have not drafted locker or paid cj. Chris Palmer destroyed our running game along with amano and company. We gonna run the ball and hit people in the mouth on both sides of the ball!

He should know what he has at QB. He drafted Locker, and spent over a year coaching him before starting him. He didn't pick up on anything in their extensive study of him before the draft? He never picked up on anything during nearly two years of coaching him, and watching him during practices? Munch dropped the ball on that in my opinion.

An option/run and shoot offense wasn't a good idea for a rookie QB, and even more so for Locker.

I think we need to emulate parts of what we used to do to get CJ going. As well as stuff the 9ers and redskins have done to get their run game going. Heavy sets with our TEs and both our RBs on the field could turn us into a powerful team that can open up huge plays in play action for locker.

Sad to say, but if I was a defensive coordinator, I would only focus on the running game if I played the Titans. The QB just doesn't strike any fear in anyone.

Locker wouldn't fool anyone in play action.

The play action plays last season were built really stupid.

The play actions were wide stretch plays to also move the qb. It didn't even look like a real hand off and the ball placement/hiding techniques were just terrible.

Play design has a real effect on things like that. Tom Brady's play action is probably one of the smoothest. Poor CBs can't tell if he's got it or not because he uses very sneaky footwork and hand switching that completely eludes defenders.

Locker needs that. Locker needs that bad,

Brady has a beautiful play action pass, due to being a deadly passer.

A defense won't bite on a Locker roll out until Locker becomes a good passer.

I think we are talking different theories here.

The pass itself is one thing that of course locker must develop consistency with. Of course Brady is crazy accurate and throws deadly strikes. But... Brady uses very smooth transitions in his play action passes that hide the ball brilliantly. That is built within the play, the drop, the routes ran.

Those types of plays must also be incorporated in lockers game/offense. IMO, the play action plays are derived from being able to hide the true intention of the play and make it look like any other run that they have ran in that game. The really wide sweep play actions that we ran last year fooled NO ONE. They look very sloppy comparably to the high end play action Qbs.

Yes, locker must throw good efficient passes... But getting defenders to bite on the run when it's play action is completely on the Qbs ability to hide the ball and the plays design.

Agree, Locker needs to work on his footwork overall, play action, dropping back, and stepping up in the pocket.

we've talked about this ad-nauseam. if Jake doesn't progress significantly and greatly improve his accuracy, the team will suck and we'll be the Jets. house will be cleaned and we'll draft a new QB as early as next year.
