Nate Washington: "Jake looked awesome to me today, Ive never seen this from Jake"

Yea the main issue with him is he has to be more consistent. When he is on, he is throwing some really impressive strikes. When he is off.... well he expects the WR to jump 5 feet above him to make a play on the ball. Kinda crazy.

At the same time, even the young rooks that have looked excellent had offenses very well built around their strengths... Doing high end, high variable reads for a young qb in the NFL is pretty insane. Lets just chock that up to his ceiling in 4/5 years. But not right now.

 

He craps on literally every underachieving team with so much surety that I have started to troll him from time to time. Dudes mad annoying with his negativity and opinionated "facts". However, Locker gets a lot of flack quite often. Hes said basically we have a bottom 3/5 QB with very little chance of improvement. Anyone else had the lovely instance of following this half wit?

 

Roto world posted a QB ranking, and rookie qbs as well as non starters were somehow above Locker. not kidding.

All this fluffing up Locker aside. Im happy we kept Nate. I see big things in our wr core.

 

Lets see, last year Jake was an inexperienced and injured QB on a bad team with a bad OL and no run game, trying to run a overly-complicated offense under an incompetent OC ... But he didn't put up good numbers, so I guess he is a bust.

 

Honestly, If we fix the OL and get some run support, and the OC doesn't call retarded plays all the time then Jake could have 0% improvement in his skill level, but would still look 10x's better than last year.

 

my issue with Palmer was that he seemed too just call plays. No attacking the weakness of the D. No stay with it till they make you change. About once a month the Titans would kinda sorta go into a hurry huddle (or whatever they called it) but there was no apparent reason too do so. I could go on.

I think Palmer would have been good with a Gayton under center, but then again I would look good calling plays for Gayton so that is faint praise.

I HOPE the essentially rookie OC has formulated an actual plan too utilize the players special skills, you know the things that got them in The League, too create mismatches and attack a D with a purpose.
