    Stat Time, woooo!

He had 8 penalties in 12 games. (high)
He allowed 2 QB sacks & 4 QB hits. (average)
Pass block efficency was 12th overall of all OTs, 9th in Run. (good)

That's with pure garbage playing next to him. So where is your beef?

OT??? No way! Roos and Stewart are top flight pro bowl OTs that BOTH werent drafted in the first round. I would rather see us draft Patterson at WR than an OT at #10. If we can get a young talented Guard to anchor the spot for 5 to 10 years. Why not go there and worry about OT when its a real need?

    .

I am not too confident with Stewart. Reminds if Zach Piller going into the final years of his career. I have a sinking feeling Stewert may not have much past 2013.
Whereas we have at least signed a young Levitre to a long term deal.

I agree on Stewart at OT. Keep him there.

In the end I very seriously doubt we are going OL in the first regardless.

We are comparing CB's to Tackles. Brilliant. If Lane never went to OU you would have never even compared the two. Although I'm still not sure why you did regardless.

The whole notion of a RT being a big mauler or the "non-athletic" tackle on the line is completely dead. That is exactly what we have in Roos/Stewart. Roos the quick, athletic LT who can handle the speed rushers, whereas Stewart is more of a mauler in the run game and has trouble with speed rushers.

The thing is with the way the NFL has morphed into a passing league, a RT in that mold is a liability. More and more teams are putting their better pass rushers over the RT and moving fronts all over the place. This is especially true of 3-4 teams that use a plethora of fronts with speed rushers not just coming from the QB's blindside.

This is my long way of saying that as long as Stewart starts at RT, he will be a liability. Not because he sucks, but because of his physical makeup and because of what the league has turned into.

If we had Roos on the left and say Lane Johnson on the right, I'm telling you our passing game would really thrive. You really want to help Jake Locker improve, this is the way.

    Say we drafted:

    1. Lane Johnson
    2. Larry Warford (who is Chance Warmack, but on a crappy team)
    3. Brian Schwenke

    Roos---Levitre---Schwenke---Warford---Johnson

Man oh man, gimme that line any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Besides all that, Stewart is coming back from injury and we don't know how he'll hold up and he's a free agent in two seasons.
