Ive seen nothing but high motor and relentless on scouting reports from werner say him play once had a nice game and has some jared allen to him. probably the most baseless comment i have heard in a while. His problem is raw athleticism and explosion.

You don't watch the tape do you? Just watch Werner when the play isn't to his side. He stands up and jogs around. Your problem is you base your opinions off scouting reports not what you see on tape. Plus, not all scouts say that anyway.

If you're going off of "scouting reports" read this one. It's the 2nd one I came across when searching for it.

"Despite common perception, Werner doesn't have the best motor. He has a tendency to disappear for stretches of games, struggling to put together a full 60 minutes of football."

Most [real] scouts agree that Werners motor will run hot & cold, especially late in games or if the play isn't to his side of the field. He shows time where he's unstoppable and chases the QB/RB, other times he'll jog towards them. If he played hot 100% while on the field, he'd still be projected in the Top-5.

I said I've watched him play a whole game and bits and pieces of others. Name one DE that go balls out when the play is to the other side of the field and the likeliness of them making a tackle is nil. There isn't any, otherwise his motor is more hot than cold.
