What on earth kind of numbers are you looking at that classify ANY OF THESE

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/8664/ryan-fitzpatrick

    as 'pro bowl' numbers?

Last year was probably his best year as far as stats go. Seriously are you just dumb or are you trying to troll?

Both QBs have question marks. Neither is a solid lock to produce. Why is everybody getting so worked up?

I'm not worked up at all, its just outrageous a QB as bland as Fitz has such a following.

I'm intrigued by Fitz's smarts, Harvard and his 48 on the Wonderlic. He has shown he can find the opportunity in a defense when he was allowed to audible at the line. He was frequently playing from behind so he DID force many balls into tight spots. The Titans haven't had as "smart" a QB as long as I can remember- even in the Oiler days. I think that is what so many find intriguing.

We used a #8 pick on Locker. He has been inconsistent, frequently inaccurate, rarely produced memorable plays and has been injured. His pre-draft criticisms were all the same. I don't think people are being unfair to be concerned he won't become the franchise player that we drafted him at #8 overall to be. It has been said that Locker works hard and is tough as nails. Who knows if that will be enough to get him where the fans feel he should be in terms of production. So far, nothing he has done suggests that it will and this will be his third year.

I also don't perceive this Fitz fanaticism that people are commenting on. What I perceive is the same sentiment that I share. Both QB's have gaps in their ability to produce. It is too early to tell how Fitz would do as a Titan, in a totally different environment, with a totally different team. Time is running out for Locker although there are legitimate arguments that he deserves a bit of slack due to the changing environment if this team and his recovery from a significant shoulder surgery.

I don't particularly like that Munchak has declared the starting job is Locker's. I'd prefer an open competition. But I understand that Munchak is hitched to Locker and sinks or swims with him. I also know that Munchak WILL make the switch if Locker again proves ineffective despite the major overhaul to the OL and D and removal of "face" Palmer. After all, Munchak doesn't want to be a 3 and out NFL HC.

He's an above average game manager. Better than smith from the 9ers. Younger hass, no deep ball.

Munch has said time and time again that it's Lockers team. Locker will be the starter all year, unless he gets injured. This is Lockers (and Munchs) make or break year. If Locker struggles, I wouldn't be surprised if we look at QBs next off-season.

My biggest problem with Jake is that he's to passive to try and make a play. When theres pressure around him he doesnt know what to do and will immediately give in to the bait that the defense is trying to do. He did this a lot on third down last year!

All true. And Locker has a better chance of succeeding if he's working with the #1s throughout OTAs and camp.

Eh? He busted up his shoulder because he tried to make a tackle, and later, stand in the pocket to make a pass with a guy in his face. See the shots of him throwing himself over the pylon his rookie season to get the six? If anything, he presses to make a play when he should be throwing the ball away. He has to get smarter and learn when to slide, throw it away, etc.

Eliminating the mistakes is as important as making better plays. But he's not passive in the least.
