Well, over a long enough period of time every team within a division will have its years of domination. The Jagrags are the only team in our division that hasn't been dominant for a period of time. Part of that can be attributed to the relative newness of the franchise. Part of it can be attributed to the fact that they are the Jagrags and they suck. :)

And I agree that the Texans, Colts and Jags are all beatable. Every team is beatable. I don't think the Texans are as good as advertised and expect they will take a slight step back this year. The Colts? Who knows. Maybe they get better. Maybe they take a step back. I do believe we have a chance to take this division. I'm just saying we have a lot of ground to cover to get in that mix.

I agree with all the excitement in this thread. Great time to be a Titans fan, I applaud Mr. Webster and Bud for lighting a fire. Once this team gets on the field it's going to be all football, if we grab BPA in the draft he will contribute and make one of those positions stronger. If we get Warmack... best o-line I have ever seen. LETS GOoOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Not to be a debbie downer, but we say this every year and look what happens. Teams are not [normally] built in free agency, so don't think adding a good (not great) guard, TE who has too many drops, "Power" back who had a terrible yards after contact, one old safety, and one terrible coverage safety somehow turns us into contenders. We still also have a struggling young QB and a 10mil runningback who only cares about hisself.

Don't want to be a hater, I just see the truth. All these guys we added have positives as well. We added all the pieces that we need to be successful, but we still have a crappy coaching staff. Everyone needs to live up to their potential for us to make a dent in the NFL next season.

There is going to be a culture change in TN with all these new guys coming in who can play.

No one will be given a job this time around, gonna have to take it.

And that's truly great. But it pisses me off that we haven't been operating this way all along. Why did it take Munch and Co.'s jobs being on the line for them to really get serious about winning?

You have every reason to feel this way, based on how things have been done recently. You are also correct in your statement when saying that you don't build through free agency. We aren't building through free agency, we are just filling in the cracks. When you have a good foundation, it is easy to make the house look pretty.

Here is something to keep in mind, Bud is smart. He is also a fan of football. There have always been reports of Bud being cheap, but that is not the case. I have followed this team for over 27 years and I can honestly tell you that when Bud feels things are in his favor he will take advantage and jump at the opportunity. He is a 90 year old billionaire, you don't get that way by not being business saavy.

Ruston and Mike went to him with a gameplan and Bud ok'ed it. That is why we are so aggressive this off-season.

I am not saying Bud Adams is the best owner in the league, just trying to give perspective into his way of thinking when it comes to this team.

Dwindling PSL renewals and slowing sales of released tickets prompted Bud IMO.

Getting Reinfeldt out of the personnel decision making also helped.
