So I've been seeing a bunch of talking heads hype up FSU DE Bjoern Werner.

    Thoughts on him?

Werner has an amazing first step, and can get after the QB. He's lack of exp does scare me, but just shows how much more room he has to grow. Has amazing hands to get off of blocks. However, he does get off the snap too high a ton and OTs in the NFL will flatten him. His motor has been questioned, seems to take plays off.. we need consistency. I've seen many sites compare him to Chris Long, and i'd agree with that.

Not bad, but no amazing numbers. Good production his final season. Has flashes of greatness, but can take plays off - stamina i'd assume. Still a little raw. High ceiling.

Problem is we already have two starting DEs in Morgan and Wimbley. If Warmack was still on the board, I would perfer him. If Warmack is gone.. it comes between Stars health and Werner (assuming Milliner is also gone).

I think he's going to be the same type of player as Morgan. Maybe a little more disruptive because of his ability to knock down passes at the line, but he isn't really a great athlete. He played exclusively at left end.

I like his instincts though, especially for a guy who hasn't played a lot of football.

IMO the only reason Casserly or any other guy on TV says DE for us is because they're following that silly rule of no inside linemen top 10.

Warmack fills a need and is a beast, he's got to be our guy if he's available.

All I've seen people say is he has a great motor, but I agree with you. He doesn't necessarily take plays off when he's rushing the passer, but there are plays when he doesn't turn and run to chase the ball as hard as he should. Carradine put him to shame in the hustle department.

More reason not to blow a top 10 pick on a guy we could grab in the 2nd

What a lame top 10. what an unexciting draft class... Geno Smith is the only player I've ever heard of more than passingly... and He probably won't be awesome. You know it's a bad draft class when linemen are projected to be the top 3 picks.

I thought the same thing last night, what a lame draft this is.

But its a deep draft, and we need several players, so it can still be a productive draft for us.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. This is a draft built for us. Great depth at OG, C, DT and DB.

No reason why we shouldn't be a better team on April 28th.

It's a lame draft in the sense there's no amazing players in the top of the draft.
