How do you guys think this will ripple effect us for 2013's draft?

Chiefs acquired QB Alex Smith from the 49ers in exchange for a second-round draft pick in 2013 and a conditional mid-round pick in the 2014 draft.
Four years after trading for the Patriots' backup quarterback, the Chiefs have swung a deal for the 49ers' clipboard holder. The price tag is shocking. San Francisco received the 34th overall pick this year in addition to 2014 compensation in exchange for a career game manager. It's the same kind of price the Cardinals paid for Kevin Kolb in 2011 and the Chiefs paid for Matt Cassel in 2009. Smith is certainly an upgrade on Cassel, but his mediocre skill set prevents offenses from playing explosive football and threatening downfield. In Andy Reid's pass-happy West Coast scheme, Smith will be a short-to-intermediate thrower. The deal is done, but won't be "official" until the new league year opens on March 12.

There was no top 10 QB to start, so no ripple.

    Per rotoworld:

The Sacramento Bee hears that the 49ers will likely be getting a fourth-round pick in the 2013 draft for Alex Smith.
If the Niners pull off the widely speculated trade with the Chiefs, they'd add the first pick of the fourth round. It's nothing close to what the Eagles got for Kevin Kolb or the Patriots for Matt Cassel, but Smith has earned a reputation as a game manager. During his 75 career starts, he's completed just 59.3 percent of his passes and averaged 6.6 yards per attempt.

Looks like theyll take jockel with the no 1 pick. I don't really see this affecting the titans, he was gonna be off the board by 10 anyway

    Makes the draft interesting...

Where does Geno Smith go? Oak, Cle, Arz, Buf, & NYJ are all teams I see interested. However, I've read that ARZ likes Barkley more than Geno. Will OAK give up on Palmer, he's not getting any younger. Cleveland ready to give up on Weeden after one year? ARZ needs a new OL before they can think about a QB, plus they have Kolb making bank. Buffalo has Fitz & a new HC, normally new HC means a new QB. NYJ, are they ready to give up on Sanchez?

As for the #1 pick, KC has been rumored to want Brandon Albert & D-Bowe back. If Albert comes back, go they pass on Joeckel? Eric Winston starts at RT, he's only 29, and is an above average OT. If they were smart they would just take Joeckel and let Albert walk. Or could we see a team trade up for Joeckel?

Updated: 49s get a 2nd round pick. Who they take could effect us. What are their needs?
