I'm surprised how many people have opened up to the idea of getting him as early as the Courtland Comp pick...usually people on these boards hate the idea of having "trouble makers" lol. A 4th round pick on a guy that almost won heisman as a cornerback should be a no brainer to me.

I don't think we draft him. Using just the small sample size of Webster's draft decisions and opinions he takes high character guys, not players kicked off the team because of drugs.

Short, slow, off-field issues and was never elite in coverage. Sounds perfect.

Besides the drug issue, I think he's a tad overrated. He played inside a lot while at LSU, we need a guy outside so we can move Verner in. He played a lot of zone as well and when in man he struggled with the bigger and faster guys, hello NFL WR's. He's still a good player, great with the ball, very good instincts, and brings that kind of attitude you want on the field. I think he's worth a 4th round pick, develop the rest of his game, give him some time, and get some snaps for him in every game. Also, he'll be pretty valuable in the Verner negotiations assuming we want to bring him back by then.

I think he's worth something like 5th because of his return ability, but I don't see him helping a defense. Can you hold a spot for a guy who doesn't contribute on anything but special teams with the new kickoff rules?

LSU listed him at 5'9" 180, which means he's probably smaller.

If you could get him in the 4th he has quality talent as a returner and never has to touch the field as a CB. So therefore anything he does do on defense is an extra.

Reynaud basically played special teams. He took what 3 snaps a game at RB and never produced?

Lets be honest though, he made the roster because Mariani broke his leg.

It's true. But would Mariani have put in legit playing time at WR?
