Rumor is our first game is against the Blue Jackets. If this is true, we will have the easiest game out of all the other 28 teams that are playing that day.

I thought it was josi that was replacing him.

He definitely will. Josi has all the potential to be better than Suter. It will be between Blum and Ekholm as to who gets the final roster spot when camp opens. If Ekholm does get called up, he will have to step his game up given it will be his first ever NHL action.

I expect the D-lines to be:
    Josi-Weber
    Gill-Ellis
Hannan-Klein- with rotation of Ekholm or Blum

Also, I would love to see Latta or Beck called up and put on the 4th line. They are tearing it up in the AHL right now with Milwaukee. Austin Watson is also heating up ( he leads the Admirals in goals), but I don't think he's quite ready for the speed of the NHL.

No way Josi turns out better than Suter. I swear Suter is the most underrated defenseman in the NHL. I think that'll become a bit more clear though this season when he's out from Weber's shadow. But if Josi can come even close to replacing Suter, or half of Suter, that would be an incredible thing for Preds fans.

Also, I believe it's already been confirmed that Klein is in the top four. I would expect...

    Weber - Josi
    Gill - Klein
    Ellis - Hannan

Some say Weber made Suter look good, and some say the complete opposite. It will be interesting seeing him play without a Norris-caliber D-man by his side. I still can't forget when Suter got badly dangled by Datsyuk in the last seconds of that game, which resulted in Datsyuk getting a last-second goal to win.

And Klein shouldn't be in the top 4. I can't stand the way he just stands around, acting like he has some kind of force-shield around him that won't allow anything to go by past him in a certain radius. On another note, he came up huge offensively in the playoffs last year.

Ellis could use extra ice time.....he needs it.

You can always find one terrible highlight for even the best in the game. If Gretzky shot a puck in his own net, it wouldn't diminish who he was. Suter was a stud for Team USA in 2010 without Weber, and I expect him to do well. However, he doesn't have a ton of help in Minnesota, especially on D, so he will certainly be put to the test.

However, I am boycotting the regular season this year when it comes to the NHL. I will follow but not be going to any games or watching any games.
