He doesn't fill the biggest need but if everyone is gone then who do we take? I started this thread as a point of throwing out some other options rather than just the same 5-6 guy discussion.

Also our 2nd half of the season featured offenses like the Jaguars (twice), Jets, and Dolphins. It's also no surprise that 4 of Morgan's sacks came in the 2nd half of the season and 2 against the Jags. Wimbley's numbers aren't all that impressive either. Our pass rush was an issue until we started blitzing our LB's more and played some weaker offenses. The problem is, we can't rely on just playing weak offenses and eventually we can't just depend on our LB's to do the jobs that the DE's are supposed to be doing. We have zero DE depth, or at least quality depth. If we add a rookie to begin in the rotation then eventually start over an older Wimbley or maybe Morgan regresses then there we go.

i believe morgan would have to progress first...i'm still not sold on morgan as a first round pick, but mingo is nothing more than a babin who uses a speed rush outside...i would rather ake jonathan banks from mississippi state who has been compared sherman from the seahawks and thats what we need over mingo....

I can see everyone's point of view on this board, but my mind is set on Warmack. He could be Mike Munchak part duex!

Warmack is the perfect guy for what we need. He's the best player at a position of greatest need. An academic all american and a dominant run blocker. He's the biggest no brainer we have had since the team came to Nashville.

And the more i watch DJ Fluker on film i think he is worth a pick that high. I just watched the Georgia game and he totally owned John Jenkins of Georgia who is the top NT prospect in the draft.

Left tackles are over rated and usually very good at one thing. Even the best left tackles in the league today are only average run blockers and usually not particularly good at pulling, trap blocking and screen blocking. Warmack and Fluker are as good as it gets in that category.

What did Mingo do last year that was so impressive? 4.5 sacks? Fluker clearly got the best of him in that Bama game and on Bama's winning drive Mingo didn't get anywhere near Mccarron.

Fluker would make more sense with the 10th pick than Mingo.

Watching Mingo film he reminds me of Kearse chasing people down all over the field.
He is a disruptive player which we need more of. I have no problem drafting a guy and having him be a rotational player and ST player initially.

If he is BPA then you draft him.

We all really need to be hoping that all the QBs really impress people with their pre-draft workouts so that a few go off the board before we pick.

Mingo would be a huge mistake at #10. As previous posters have said, pressure from the DE position is not one of our many areas of weakness. If we go with Mingo, we're getting an undersized one trick pony. All Mingo has is pure speed. He doesn't use his hands effectively, has no pass rush moves (spin, rip, etc), and is absolutely dreadful against the run. When I see his college tape all I see if his getting absolutely swallowed up by O-linemen and a non-existant bull rush.

Yeah, JPP was raw but when you saw his tape you could see his moves and amazing ability to bend.I can't believe people are advocating taking such an incomplete player this high when it's not even a need. If we draft Mingo, I will be highly disappointed. Warmack should be our pick at 10, Milliner would be ok.
