No, that's just what people think in the SEC country. The NBA is actually awesome, and has been very entertaining the past few seasons especially. It's coming from a not-so-good place, but the emergence of all the new, young talent in the NBA is doing great things for the league.

I lol'd when Jerry Hughes was mentioned as a good player.

Guy is a bust. Even Polian said he was.

The Colts played hearts out for a coach who got cancer. They come together and pulled through, they're the anti-Chiefs who did nothing in the face of adversity.

I am 100% sure they are not an 11-5 team if this is any other year and will not be a playoff team next year.

I live in big 10 country, but the NBA cannot compare to what it was when I was a kid: Miller, Jordan, Ewing, Barkley, Bird, Pippen, etc..

So it will probably never be good, since I put it to a high standard.

Lebron, Wade, and Kobe are great players, but none of them have the clout that makes me want to watch them.

I somewhat like the NBA but really never watch until playoffs anymore.

But I do think it is a joke mainly because of the Lebron trade but yet the commissioner will outlaw other trades (like the one to the Lakers last year). That is absolutely ridiculous.

Can you imagine if the Colts traded for Megatron and then the NFL blocked a Titans trade for Larry Fitzgerald?

But the NBA owned the Hornets then, it was not in the teams best interest to move Chris Paul. The commissioner blocking that at first was the right move.

It's completely different than anything you could compare to the NFL.

NBA will never be as great as it was during the NBA Jam era.

I just don't get how everyone is so certain of this. Why is it so hard to believe that the Colts will stay at the same level, or heck maybe even improve, after another full offseason of working together and adding key players via draft and FA? And I know most Titan fans don't want to admit it, but Luck is only going to get better from here on out.

Pagano having cancer definitely gave them a spark. But the players still had to go out there and get the job done in order to win the games. And now, they know they can do it.

Honestly, at this point my money would be on the Colts to win the division next year. They are on such a better trajectory than us it's not even funny. And I think the Texans window is kinda sorta closing (Andre and Schaub aren't getting any younger and I've just never bought Schaub as an elite QB anyway. That D should be good for awhile though). And the Jags are the Jags.

Ya. There's no reason to believe they will fall off. They're young and inexperienced right now.. IMO, they will get better. Luck and Hilton will improve even more.

Freeney, who used to be their entire defense's clout, is nothing this year.. They can replace him with something better.

They have a hopeful future, something fans can look forward to.

I could see them leap frogging the Texans as the best in the division next year, but just cause I've never believed in Schuab, and we stink.

But I don't buy the Colts as a serious contender. You just don't get that feeling watching them, then looking at paper confirms they're catching a lot of breaks. That wears off at some point.

The Colts have luck on their side. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good right?
