So Britt's contract is up after next year I think. He is supposed to be our #1 WR and when healthy he can be a stud. I did not see any burst from him this year and am concerned about whether he ever will regain it. Got a feeling we are dealing with another Calico. I hope he comes back next year and shows he can be the playmaker that he was pre-injury. If this happens then we are going to have to pay him good money to keep him around.

So either this year or next year we are going to be signing someone to a long term WR contract. Would you rather pay Britt after next yr or go ahead and pay for a #1WR this yr in Bowe, Jennings, or Wallace.

Personally I would give a serious look to the FA market. Instead of spending my money on Cook, I'd look to one of these. They are all fairly young and still very productive. If Britt doesn't return to #1 WR form or continues to get into trouble then you let him walk next yr and you still have your #1 WR. If Britt returns to playmaking form then you can either try to work a long term deal with him or franchise tag him.

I certainly realize that WR is not a need for our team right now, but if Britt doesn't return to form then it will be a priority. I would consider using the money that you might give Cook to one of these WRs instead.

Paying Britt would be as bad as paying Griffin like we did.. he's not reliable AT ALL.

Kenny Britt doesn't even watch football, plus he's always dinged up, and has feet for hands.

With a rap sheet a mile long, and 2 bad knees, he'd be a pretty stupid investment to make.

With that said, we'll probably pay him $15M/3yrs

I feel the same way. Kenny isn't worth a long term deal even if he has a good year next year because of his inconsistent history.

So I look to one of the FA WRs as our long term #1. Each of them is coming off of a down year for different reasons, but I see no reason they shouldn't return to their old form next year.

I like Kenny but he's just too big of a risk. Pass on Jennings and Wallace too. Way too pricey. Bowe would be nice but I think he's gonna get overpaid.

If we wanted to go this route which I really highly doubt we do, then I think we will have to over pay to attract a top WR because of our inaccuarcy issues at QB and lackluster offense in general.

If you have your choice of QBs to play for Locker is not high on that list.

We have lots of cap space, and Wallace compliments Locker perfectly.

Wallace is a long shot, but I'd still be for it.

while we are at it there is NO reason to pay Jared Cook either, plus after his comments he can hit the door
