I can't believe they are going to start him or even play him for that matter.

HC Mike should make the call himself to sit CJ, or at least really limit his play. After that nasty hit, to what I initially thought would be a really bad knee/ankle injury, there is no need to gamble here with nothing on the line... Literally speaking, we don't have any real blockers on the line either, just all around doesn't seem like a good idea.

Chasing personal accolades here is not what we need. I just saw that he needs 168 yards to join some group as 4th player to get 7k yards in his first 5 seasons - which I know CJ probably knows of (due to his incredible knowledge of personal accomplishments) and I'm sure is pushing for it. HC should step in and say its just not worth it.

If he was chasing a serious record like Megatron or AP, maybe I might not mind as much, but here this is just not the case. In the event he does get injured, I can really see Mike getting canned too...

    What you guys think?

I don't think they have a lot of choice in the matter. Harper has a bum ankle and is still Harper and Reynaud sucks. Munch is trying to save his job. IMO whatever he does will be too little too late. I think if we had more depth there's no way CJ would play. But I tend to agree with you. I wouldn't start him.

He played last week after it happened, why wouldn't he play this week?

If he gets hurt again he has all offseason to get better and he'll be fine. Let him try for the 170, he'll only get like 60 on 20 carries though.

I'd kinda like to see Reynaud or Harper get about 25 carries for 40 yards.

You know Reynaud would misjudge a toss and let it land five yards in front of him.

Munchak I'm sure feels like he has to win this game to try and save his job. No wins in the AFC South would be another nail in his coffin.

Most feminine thread.... Really? On that tackle, I honestly thought he snapped his ACL and/or Achilles....

The dude is tough, he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. Over his entire career, i've seen him take some brutal hits (not A TON) but nonetheless, he's gotten 'wacked' many times. EVERY TIME, he gets back up like its nothing... I've commented on this so many times too...

I don't care how flexible or nimble he is, trust me when I tell you he's hurting. If your boner for CJ covers up the knowledge to realize that he is our biggest investment and there is absolutely no reason to gamble it here, i got nothing to say to you... Slight injuries can turn into serious ones very easily...

A head coach who cares to WIN next year will not risk his one performing star on O for a meaningless personal accolade. An F'in HC trying to save his job will... A smart fan would realize exactly how stupid and inept that is and call it out...

Munchak isn't a head coach who wants to win next year. He's a coach that wants to win this Sunday so he can potentially save his job...

CJ wants to pad his stats, so he'll play.
Munchak needs CJ to beat the Jags, so he'll want him to play as well.

There's no way CJ doesn't get the majority of carries this weekend.
