He really isn't though. He has gone after FA in the past that just have bombed. In fact none of the money he has spent on any FA has panned out that I can remember, except for Kevin Carter. He paid big for CJ. He has spent money just not wisely.

See that's part of the problem. Instead of spending BIG money on guys who are actually good they over-pay for guys who are decent. Like Nate Washington, Kam Wimbley, David Givens and on and on and on. They try to snake the system by paying guys who are decent hoping they'll get better. I mean, how much were we under the cap before the season started? And this is the result.

Just to clarify I don't think there is a correlation with blindly spending money and being a contender. I think there is a correlation with spending money on guys who are average and hoping they'll get better with an expanded role and being bad.

I have no problem with the Wimbley signing. Better to have him at half the price of Mario Williams. We screwed up not addressing the OLINE.

I had thought that Munch would be safe as long as they didn't lay an egg in either of their last 2 games. This certainly was a major egg.

Next week is a must win for Munch. If we lose next week, it will be very hard to justify bringing Munch back. The number of games that we just weren't even competitive very well might get him canned.

This team is a train wreck. Is Locker going to be able to bounce back? Is CJ worth keeping? Will Bud have the 00 to fire the coaching staff?

We went after almost every available FA Center. Either players don't want to come Nashville bc the city is not a hip place to live or they don't think that we are a winning organization.

I don't think missing out on all the Centers was because they didn't want to play here. I think our front office, and coaches, were cocky and so sure of our offensive line being the back bone of the team that they just danced them around the numbers. Times have changed and that was one call that was really wrong by the guy that was closest to the the situation; Munch.

If you drop the cash and show the money they will come. It is a business. You get what you pay for ie; Hutch.

I doubt the city is the problem. After all.. People sign in Green Bay, Minnesota, buffalo and other horrible areas.
Winning, and a bad history of ownership keep people out. No Super Bowl wins ever, on one of the oldest teams in the league is not a good sign.
