Foster has actually gotten consistently worse each of the last 3 years and can't gain more than 4YPC with a top 10 run blocking o-line and with a high powered pass offense with Andre Johnson. He also isn't even a threat in the passing game. All he has on CJ is being 10 months younger. I'm not impressed at all.

Chris Johnson needs 196 rushing yards over his final two games to reach 7,000 career rushing yards. He’d be the fourth player in NFL history to reach 7,000 career rushing yards in his first five seasons. Currently, he has the seventh-most rushing yards ever by a player in his first five seasons. With 71 yards, he’ll surpass Eddie George on that list.

When I was in ATL the other day one of their talk shows were talking about what modern day players would get in to the HoF.

Of course AP and CJ were mentioned. They made the case of AP getting in if he breaks the rushing record, and I believe he should if his career continues the way as projected. They were split on CJ, and I can see why someone would be.

I think if CJ can make it to 13k+ he will get in. He holds a record, which I think is bigger than the rushing, but for some reason people don't bring it up, not to mention his 80+ yard TDs. Its going to be interesting to watch the next few years for sure. People like CJ and AP have changed the way the game is played from that position for sure.

Lol sure, sure. CJ would be this if he had that line, CJ would be that if he had this line, and VY would be a top 5 QB if Fisher hadn't got in his way lol.

In all seriousness though, obviously their blocking is miles better, but I'm pretty sure I watch more Texan games than you (Houstonian lol), and I stand by what I said, I'd take Foster over CJ. More flash doesn't equate to better player! And most running backs are a product of the system, I don't think CJ is finished, but at same time his body isn't meant to take the beating he has already, CJ would make a team better by not being an every down back. I only see him getting worse from here on.

That's fair, but how is he not a threat in the passing game? He's struggling in that department this year but the previous two years he's had 119 receptions for over 1200 yards and has a career average of 9.2 yards a catch, while CJ has never surpassed 60 receptions in a season while Foster has and has an average of 7.2 yards a catch, plus we've seen time over time that CJ has brick hands.
