I wouldn't mind Kyle Shanahan either. But, I see him as a Jason Garrett type guy. Good OC, but doesn't have what it takes to make a HC. His offense is amazing right now, but what happens when coordinaors start to pick it up... hopefully he'll be able to change it up. I'd still take him over MM.

If just seems like he knows how to tailor an offense to a specifc skill set in a QB, and to a young QB. Thats why I want him. They aren't having RG3 run your prototypical NFL offense because he is young and not ready for it. However he is learning and developing right now while winning games. He will transition into a true NFL offense over the next year or two probably.

But they do run a lot of things similar to the Texans. They have a great PA game, and they get guys WIDE open running down the field, and the QBs are able to make some very easy throws. It was worked for the texans so far, it is working for the Redskins now so I don't think it is a gimmick or anything.

You're right though, there is no telling if he would be a good HC, but the same can be said for anyone. Even former HCs don't always find success with different teams. No matter who we hire it will be a risk. I just think that Shanahan will know how to deal with a young QB.

any of the above other than Herm Edwards or Nick Saban. Would rather have Munchak than those two scrubs.

Saban is 2nd on my list of most NOT wanted NCAA coaches, transitioning into the NFL.. #1 is Petrino.

Couldn't agree more. I wonder if he'd leave his dad though. My top 3 options

    1: Jon Gruden
    2: Kyle Shanahan
    3: Ray Horton

Sadly, I don't think we have a chance at any of the 3.

Gruden's not afraid to put a boot in someones "A". Guy coaches with passion, but he wont give up his cool gig on MNF IMO.
