To be honest, i really hope we don't loose Munch. He's been part of this organization for decades and is a really good dude too.

He was probably one of the best O-line coaches and was respected league-wide for it. Before they fire him they should try to retain him at that level. I'm not sure he'd like it too much, but its not like he's the candidate teams will be lining up for if he gets canned.

As for Tom, I too thought of him as as an OC, and when the commentator was talking about that, it really did reinforce those thoughts. If so, Munch bringing him in from now is a great move.

    He never received an extension.

His original deal was 4 years, not 3.

I'm a good dude, being nice doesn't win you football games, it loses them if anything.

    That was just a plus...

The part you should be focusing on is how he was an absolute beast at developing 'no-name' linemen...

Don't fall for that, O-Lineman are the easiest players to develop in football. Their jobs are 90% mental, just from being around for a while you improve without any snaps.

    I respectfully disagree...

I'm not saying you need to be Einstein, but c'mon man, having like a TOP LINE for most of his years coaching - while never really spending high draft picks on it - that's not the 'easiest' thing to do....

I just scanned the titans draft picks dating back to '94 (2 yrs before he became OL coach), we picked 3, just 3 linemen in that span with a high draft pick (high being rounds 1-3):
    • Brad (1st rounder - '93)
    • Piller (3rd rounder - '99)
    • Roos (2nd rounder - '05)
The rest of the guys were drafted pretty late and basically he developed whatever they gave him into quality players - whether that be for a starter or backup role. This also saved us a bit of money as we didn't have to make 'big splashes' (not that we ever really do) to pick up linemen - but rather just try to re-sign ones that we already knew fit (in the whatever system we were running at that time).

So do you think Jim Wyatt and everyone else has been wrong on that for nearly 2 years and Munch has said nothing about it this whole time. Not until Munch's butt is on the hot seat and he's a lame duck coach that won't be able to get good coordinators, does he have an extra year on is contract. Who told Wyatt that it was a 3 year deal? He got it from someone. Why didn't they correct him right after he announced it. Munch has been shady about the length of his contract since the first day. The first words that came out of his mouth about it were a complete lie.

It's likely that Moore is the OC now. He was last a "consultant" with the Colts. It had something to do with retirement benefits... but he was still the guy calling plays.

if Munch does stay, I'd love to see Moore become OC next year. I'd be pretty shocked if that happens though. Dude is old
