Yeah. Could definitely see a Fishface reunion. The more I think about it, I could see a number of teams being interested, if the price is right.

CJ is literally the only thing on offense to build around right now. I understand that CJ runs better with a full back, most running backs do (See: Ray Rice and Marshawn Lynch). But having a fullback in the game doesn't necessarily make it a "run heavy" set. It would be much easier to find a Dallas Clark type (not necessarily DC caliber) fullback/tweener that could block but also catch the ball then it would to find a top 5 running back later in the draft. It would benefit out team much more to use a day 1 pick on the secondary or O line than it would to trade CJ and get another unknown commodity at running back

I would deal him for any draft pick, just for the $ reasons.

Adding on, does anyone know what it would cost to buyout/release CJ? I'm not sure how the NFL CBA works with all that.

We'd just had a bunch of dead money carried into the next 3-4 seasons. Just his signing bonus money he's already been paid that they prorate and drag til the end of a contract.

We're probably talking about $3M/yr til when ever that deal is suppose to run out.

I think C.J. still has some of "It", but he is not getting any better and we should move him if we can. He won't do anything next year to justify his huge salary. What I want is a running back we can give the ball to and get 1 or 2 yards whenever we need it. You know the type; the defense sees him coming and they just can't stop him. A power back, steam roller, yard ape, what ever you call it . . .

Chris Johnson was the best pick for that 2008 team. A defense that was holding teams to 17 points per game and all we needed was one big play a game to make the difference on the scoreboard.

He's a bad fit for this team. Bad defense, a young QB and a staff that doesn't even try to establish a running game. What's the point of having one of the highest paid running backs in the league if you're not going to use him correctly?

I'm all for trading him, not cutting him.

i thought that was impossible given the $9million bonus he is due.

We'll either cut him or pay him right? Cause he would rather test free agency than agree to a trade.
