I'm in total agreement 43. I NEVER enjoy seeing this team lose, BUT it truly is for the better since we are officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Watching this game I saw from Locker exactly what I wanted to see from him. His confidence was back after a less than stellar performance against Houston. He was making great throws and showing great touch. The pick six he gave up was definitely a bad decision but it also didn't break his spirit.

I like to keep things in perspective relative to the previous QBs we've had over the years. As great as Steve, Vince, KFC and MH all played when they were playing great they all had their weaknesses. To me, Jake has the makings to be even better than every QB we've ever had. Sure he makes bad decisions at times but all of the greats did too. As far as I can tell he's right on schedule with where he should be. It's his first season as a starter and he's made some great plays and he's made some really boneheaded mistakes as well. All in all, he is proving to me that he deserves to be our QB and will be a great leader going forward.

HE didn't lose. The TEAM lost. And around 40 yards in false starts didn't help. NO QB loses a game by himself, even if he is not up to the standards of too many fans on this board. Would you have preferred one of the other QBs that were drafted with him? How are they doing? It's good to look at the entire team before wanting to lynch one player for a loss. Also, it might help to look at the coaches also. Again, it's a TEAM.

Jake Locker is a beast and alot more talented than Luck. With a new and innovative coaching staff he will be great

I think that Jake showed some improvement today as well, but today it looked like the game is pretty fast to him. This could be due to the change in OC...even a slight change in midseason likely messed him up a bit, but hopefully this is an experience, and not capacity to learn, issue.

I have said this before, but, whatever happens with the coaching staff, I really hope that Tom Moore sticks around, purely to mentor Jake. A little continuity will go a long way IMO.

He is part of the team and the team lost. ...and his team has lost quite a bit this season. ...and his team lost in college.

I fully support him and am not saying we should bail on him, but I felt a little better about his future 7 hours ago.

If it makes you feel any better at all, think about it like this.

Colts adjusted better than us at halftime.

How did he not lose the game for us :disbelief: ? He threw a pic six on the 2 yard line. He gave them 6 points on a inexcusable throw and we lost by 4. That was the last touchdown that Indianapolis scored

Uh, luck through a pick six too an that didnt lose the game for them. This game will slow down for Locker. When that happens, look the F out.

As a Locker defender/supporter, I disagree with most of this.

This is the first loss of ours that I have to blame on Locker. He started off looking like a polished veteran... he finished the game like he was Gabbert or some scrub like that.

Both picks were absolutely horrendous and cost us the game. He also threw one right to the defender in the endzone that should've been picked.

This loss goes on Locker, and I only saw improvement for a quarter and a half. Was not impressed. He disappointed me big time, personally. I didn't even care about winning or losing today. I just wanted to see some improvement in our young players (mainly Locker). Defense continues to make me happy for the most part. Griffin is still a bum, and I personally want him to fail and suck worse every game the rest of the season... cut his ass on New Year's. Happy New Year, douchebag.

I'm still not panicking about Locker's future at all... overall, he has impressed me, and his mistakes are pretty typical for a guy who's only started 8 games in the league.

Defense adjusted at halftime and started harassing the crap out of Locker in the 2nd half.

I was honestly shocked they didnt do it all game.
