Matt Elam is a great player, but I believe his stock has gone up wayyyy too much...with all the good safety prospects in this draft I wouldn't spend a 1st rounder on him...

As for O-line....Barrett Jones IS the best interior o-lineman, hands down. Seeing that we don't really need tackles(unless we finally realize Dave Stewart is overrated), I see us drafting interior o-line.

I didn't realize Jake Matthews stock had risen so much...for some reason I have a feeling the coaches might be eyeing him.

I'm really starting to open up to the idea of drafting Manti Teo, moving him to OLB, moving Ayers to DE, and then in the 2nd round picking up the best O-line prospect left. Teo would be an upgrade over Ayers at OLB and moving Ayers to DE would give us a truly solid rotation at DE. I'm willing to bet either Jones, Warmack, or Matthews falls to us in the 2nd. We then come back in the 3rd by taking the best SS prospect available...TJ McDonald... Shawn Williams???

Cornerback is also a huge need for us....I wouldn't be opposed to spending the 1st round pick on one of them freakish corners...all the guys projected in the 1st are like 6'2...grabbing one of them and moving verner back to the nickel(where he's most effective) would be great.

Another reason why we shouldn't take Elam in round 1...so many good safeties this year

He is a late round sleeper that lays the hammer, was suspended 1 game for a big hit but it ended up being a helment-to-helment. He is a strong wrap up tackler that attacks the line of scrimmage, doesn't make a lot of splash plays but is a good run/pass defender. I've seen him wrap up and lay the hammer but has a bad habit of leading with his shoulder instead of wrapping up. If he attacks the runningback at the los he wraps up, but if a receiver tries to catch it in the middle of the field he goes full force with his shoulder.

I don't really think so. Both McCourty and Verner are young, and looked pretty good this year. Problem is they literally have ZERO help over top and our DL never really got any pressure on the QB. We need some depth. I'd prefer to go pickup a vet CB that can play #2, then move Verner back to slot. Upgrade the pass-rusher/secondary and we'd be fine.

I think Sensabaugh can really be something. He has the speed and athleticism to be super aggressive, so hopefully he can grow into a Finny type slot guy.

I really do feel like everything is starting to come together except the safeties.

I swear turning around our defense really isn't that difficult, it just take a bit of common sense and effort. We have to switch to the 3-4 and get a real coordinator such as Ron Rivera as was mentioned by xpmar. The F.O. MUST sign an impact player on defense no matter how much money it costs. Safety or pass rusher are primary but a big MLB or NT could be good as well. The interior OL must be addressed in free agency as well, I don't want to see the Titans sitting on 16 million dollars towards the salary cap ever again!!!

Draft wise, I think we are bad enough to draft need only. This draft has to be used to fill our many holes. I know you always hear MR and RW say "draft the best player available" and if we don't we are going to miss out on a really good player. That is BS frankly, we need good players in key positions which are causing us to lose. Fill those holes this draft and in free agency then we'll be ready to draft BPA in 2014.

Trade Moochelle Wiffin or cut him, I could care less. Signing Byrd would be incredible for us, again good point by xpmar. We literally need a center, and two new safeties and anyone that can beat a one on one block and get to the QB. Address those needs and you'll see us drastically improve next season.

I hope we sign a few vet players in FA this off-season. I really feel as if we have the right core of young talent, we just lack in experience.

And Interesting prospect that Ive been checking out is SS/OLB Devonte Holloman. He played Both Safety spots early in his career then this season moved to OLB. At 6-2 240 this guy has the size of a backer but the skill set of a strong safety. There is tape of him vs Bma while playing SS and film of him playing OLB vs GA. I would love to draft this guy around the 4th. His game is comparable to Kam Chancellor. Check him out!

If we get Ron Rivera.. I hope we can get Quentin Jammer. I know he's old, but he'd be a solid vet for 2-3 years and help with the growth of our young corners. He could play RCB, McC at LCB, and verner in the slot. Jammer sitll plays at a high level and im sure him an Ron are close.

Sadly, it wont happen. Griffin is set to make jsut too much money and no right minded FO would trade for him. Byrd would be awesome, but he's a Top-5 safety in the entire NFL... I can't see Buffalo letting him go. If we can SOMEHOW get rid of Griffin, offer a huge deal to Byrd. He's a gamechanger at FS, pair in with a 2nd-3rd round SS and our defense just improved x10.

    My quick off-season fix:

Pray Ron Rivera gets the can and comes here as a DC
Sign Q Jammer and Jar Byrd
    Somehow get rid of Griffin
Trade back in the first, get Barrett Jones and Matt Elam. Also will pick up add'tl picks for the trade back and comp for Finnegan.. can use for addt'l LB depth, NT, or OG.
Find a improved OC if Loggains doesn't show us something with the final games.
