Loggains kicked him. A young and up-coming coach.
I don't think the replacement for Gray is in house.

Frank Bush. More qualified than Loggains. Heck, more qualified than Gray.

After what he did with the Texans? - Or is it all his years as LB coach?

I know the following will not be well-received for those of you who have been calling for coordinator heads for a while but I don't see this firing as doing much to make the offense better.

First of all, If Munch was unhappy, the move should have been made before the bye regardless of the Miami win. I don't see how much of the actual scheme can change in a few days. Maybe the hope is this new guy will make better calls from the current playbook.

The more I think about this, the more I see the hands of Bud in this.

Many have commented Palmer ran too much on first down this Sunday. The Titans often got the ball deep inside their own 25. Trying to establish the run against a horrible run defense was not the wrong approach in that situation, IMO. The Titans had a solid run game so why not try to take some pressure off Locker (and the Jags hot offense off the field) by pounding the ball?

Predictable? Sure. But that shouldn't matter if you are playing against a horrible run D.

As Tide mentioned, this is about the lack of red zone execution. The Jags D was stingy in this area and I didn't think Locker played particularly well. If Nate makes a play on his missed TD and DW get credit for his, Palmer is still the OC today.

I don't particularly care one way or the other on this firing but I don't see promoting Loggains as nothing more than making change for change sake. I think Munch would have preferred to play out the season and then make some changes with one or both coordinators.
