The titans are $14.5MM below the salary cap this year. Judicious use of available cap room could possibly have given us more depth at OL, CB, safety and DL. Next year the Titans will have to spend up to the cap (new CBA requirement). I think Bud looked at this year as a windfall profit year and pocketed the $14.5MM. He might have spent it on Peyton Manning but once he lost out on that sweepstakes, he decided to fatten the bottom line as much as possible.

The only way fans can make their voices heard is with their wallets - stay away from the stadium, give up your season tickets, and don;t buy any Titans merchandise. Isn't much, but if we start making LP Field look like the Miami and Jacksonville stadiums, Bud will feel it.

A total titans boycott is what's needed. Do your part, I am.

Problem with all that is I dont think Bud would even care. Worst case scenario instead of Bud spending money out of his wallet, the team would move to L.A. or something crazy because no one goes to the games or buys the merchandise. Rather just see Bud Adams move on from the team - that MAY solve a lot of the problems.

That would be just fine. Perhaps we could get a new team in here.

Ole Bud is set for the rest of his life and therefore doesn't care if we win or lose.

One of these days I will figure out why people say Bud doesn't care. If Bud doesn't care about winning he wouldn't have stepped in when Collins was destroying our season, he wouldn't have gone after Manning, he wouldn't have put the organization on notice a few weeks ago. He would sit there and do nothing. I think he sent a strong enough message already this season. He's not going to repeat himself and I wouldn't expect any in season firings. I think when the season is over we see some drastic changes. Bud doesn't enjoy being the laughing stock of the NFL nor does he like seeing the stadium he built filled with the visiting teams fans.

The money would only help if it were used to bring in new coaches!

A significant loss of revenue will decrease the value of the franchise - Bud stands to reap less profit if he sells in the short term. There is no indication Bud is considering selling the franchise and his lease with Metro makes a relocation very unlikely.

The TV contract revenue is fixed, season tickets have been pretty consistent regardless of the franchise record, so as long as Bud can keep his personnel costs low, he makes more profit. The only place ht fans can hit him where it hurts ( a little) is attendance, concessions, non-renewal of season tickets (including a letter stating your reasons), and boycott of titans merchandise.

After years of mediocrity - and it is stretching the definition of mediocrity to call this year mediocre - the titans have gotten my last $. They don't care enough to put an acceptable product on the field, I'm taking my business somewhere else.

Yeah we are way under the cap, and we have a lot of holes to fill, but there really wasn't anyone we could've went out and gotten in the offseason to fill those gaps. Bud tried to go get PM ... not the right move IMO. It cost us a good shot at the top FA Centers, but at least Bud wanted to try something to win. There wasn't really anyone at S, we picked up a DL and an OL. Spending the rest of that money really would have been a waste on everyone else out there in FA.

Going out and not supporting the team won't help anyway. If anything we need the fans to get more involved in the games instead of showing up and just sitting on their hands most of the time. We have virtually no home field advantage anyway, why make it worse and more embarssing for the fans/players/organization? Then the team will just move away.
