I think they have a lot of similarities. The difference is that passing wise, Jake is where VY was at in year 4-5. Jake is only in year 2. VY was an effective passer his last season here, he just couldn't stay healthy.

I believe VY and Locker are alike in that they can make plays with their legs and are great at making plays when they're needed. Jake is just a better passer than Vince.

Vince wasn't nearly as bad as some posters make him out to be. He won a lot of games for us.

I love you man, but I would bitch slap you if you were standing in front of me right now.

He just fumbled SO much... in my memory it seems like every other time he scrambled, we lost the fkin ball. It may not have been that bad, but it sure felt like it.

Wasn't Jake like 9/21 for like 140 yards, and multiple dropped picks.....?

9/21, 122 yards, 2 td. I brought that up yesterday, but people said they thought his scrambles made up for the lackluster passing. He did have a few great runs.

Still a bit nervous though, personally.

watching the game for the first time.... i think locker just doesn't want to force anything and get an INT... most of those incompletions were throw aways... not too many misses on his targets though..
i think he's a bit nervous coming back from that injury... luckily we played the woeful dolphins and not the bears...

I wish we played Chicago earlier in the year, that might have saved us that Colts loss.

Getting beat down at home is just what we needed. Still not so sure we're all that better, but the turnovers and sacks were new.

Locker had plenty of drops too. When Jake was scrambling, Hassle is in the fetal postion laying down before they hit him or throwing it away. I thought the kid played great. He was under center and not the shotgun, like earlier in the season, and his mobility helped open running lanes for CJ. Looked like they played harder for Locker. Bottom line is they played harder for him.

No debating here, hassle could only mustar 13 points against the colts. I think he played great and has way more upside and an nfl arm. Something hassle no longer has dinking and dunking is not going to win with this defense.

    No.

You could call one of them a dropped pick... but it was more like Dansby just flying in and batting the ball down before Cook could catch it. That was the first bad throw.

The second bad throw was when Jake was under pressure and didn't step into his throw... missed a wide open Nate and threw right at the safety - only a few feet from being picked.

But that's it. When you have a 24 year old QB who was starting for just the 5th time, that's pretty good. Hell, every single QB in this league makes 1-2 bad passes a game.
